RAF Mach 2 Trainer

Looks natural. Would have been a far more "fighter-like" supersonic trainer for the RAF than the underpowered Jag was. Though the wing loading might have been similar, I only now noticed how tiny the wing is, even compared to the F-5 it is derived from. F-104 pilots would have felt right at home in one

I wonder if the F-20 would have had better chances if it had not been insistently marketed as an alternative to F-16, but as an upgrade (or substitute) to F-5 instead? Though in this case, Northrop was its own worst competitor, continuing the F-5 production while trying to sell the F-20.

I believe the wing is pretty much the same size as the F-5's.  Omitting the 'winder rails does make it look smaller, I think.
The F-20 was a true Mach 2 aircraft.  As a trainer, I have kept it totally 'clean', thereby reducing any drag, which would slow it down.
As an F-16 alternative, it worked, because at the time the USA had an embargo on selling frontline technology to any foreign powers. When Reagan took office, he repealed that, and so the F-16 was the fighter of choice.

Looks gorgeous,  . Reminds me strongly of the T-38 Talon when viewed from the rear 3/4, you've kept the family resemblance brilliantly.
