5.  Part-started models will be considered by the moderators. You should explain what you have done or post pics (even better) and they will convene and pass judgment, their decision being final - we are relying on the honour of our membership to uphold this rule.
Based on the above quoted rule I want to ask a question.
In a thrift shop I found these bagged parts:

It was obvious that they are from a 1:72 A-20 model but which one?
Because the instructions were in Russian, a short search on the web gave me the answer: this is the NOVO reincarnation of the FROG "Boston III" from the 1950s.

On the inside of the wing there is also a print mark in Russian "Б-20Ж", probably indicating that this is the "G" model (or maybe "J"?).

There was no B-20G at all, but plenty of A-20G were delivered to USSR.
My question is: Can I revitalize this started/finished/broken model to a completely new look? Something like "Stalin's Super Strafer - SSS" :o maybe?

CANSO, Weaver and I have discussed. Based on the pictures, we agree that presuming you'll totally repaint the model and the amount of work involved with refurbishing and completing the model pictured to a finished build will encompass at least as much work (if not more) than starting a fresh build kit that it can be included in the group build.

FYI, that looks like the Russian copy of the Frog A-20 kit. See kit review of Frog kit here for sprue shots: http://frog.cocardes.com/douglas-boston-iii-havoc-ref-f208

A lot of Frog molds ended up with Russian company called Novo and then bounced around to several other Russian companies and also Modelcraft among others.
It takes only one drink to get me drunk. The trouble is, I can't remember if it's the thirteenth or the fourteenth.

Jason and Weaver, thank you for the prompt answer!
I bought this pieces with the idea to revamp them for the GB and didn't have the intention to keep the coloration or any parts already finished as such. I don't even want to put all of this parts together in the same way as it's expected for a real life model, thus the work involved in the project will be much more than just starting this particular kit as a fresh one. At least this is my intention.

Yes, as I already wrote in my previous post that I could track this model and its reincarnation (Made in Odessa). I used a very informative site for almost all NOVO models.
As per this site the box art (could this be considered Art?) of the model is a killer! Take a look.
BTW I see the original price was 1.40 rubles. I bought it for 1.00 $CAD. In today's money 1.40 rubles=3 cents :o.

How do the mods feel about the use of the NATO reporting name F**kwit?
Obviously I would always use the asterisks but people would still be mentally inserting the letters and thinking the bad word.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

As if.................. ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Yup, just an apology from me in particular, but I've had a fair few hospital out patient appointments over the last week or so (last one today hopefully) and have been a little tardy in getting back to your two Main Moderators when I've been asked.

Don't blame them, scream at me. Hopefully back to normal tomorrow.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

No rush.  This is just a thought in case I get time or inclination to do a third aircraft build for the GB.

I'm guessing the Farcough, Farquit, Farqueue & Farkennel are out? ;D ;)

Not serious! I doubt I'll be entering &, if I do, it'll be armour rather than aircraft.

There's a grocery store in Adelaide called "Dai Phat Asian Grocery" & an eatery called "Hung Thinh Chinese Restaurant".

I think I'll call it quits before I veer too far off topic. ;)

There used to be an Aussie who sold T-shirts at UK bike ralies. His business was called 'Far Canal' and the larger version of his stall was called the 'Farca Mall'...
