This is the place for general discussion about the GB.

Will probably be using an Airfix Pe-2 that I got from Kitbasher at Telford. Need to find out if the Soviet Union ever used it as a torpedo bomber first ? If they did then it might end up in Mongolian People's A.F. colours

I have three projects on the list earmarked for this GB. One is a relatively simple lend-lease US aircraft with Red Stars, based on a profile/idea posted by PantherG/Wenzel some time ago. Another one is a major kitbash project, one of the earliest ideas on my whif list - so far unrealized because of the massive expected surgery with dubious outcome. The result should be epic, though, NATO code "Fastback" ;)
And there might also be a helicopter in the works, and somehow the Soviet Republic of Finland might materialize, too?

Having recently bought 3 x 1/72 Soviet attack helicopters with no idea of what I wanted to do with them, i may just enter this GB. ;)

An helicopter zwilling!!
Has anybody tried that? After all, some early copters had  side by side rotors, even that russian monster, the Mil V-12.

Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

The Chaos

Hi I will build a Soviet Sherman with a Tesla Gun.

I have a project, I'm just not sure I can be dedicated and focused enough to finish by the end of April. I'm definitely going to try though! I'm going to tackle post WW2 capital ship building in Soviet Russia; Where ship builds you!

Yeah, might aswell joint this GB too......Haven't finished the Oldkit GB yet, but never mind about that! All is settled for paintjob, just waiting for the decals to arrive...

I was thinking about a MiG-25 in heavy strike variant....sort of mix of F-15E, F-16XL and MiG-25. Scheme options are open....

What do you reckon?

You should do at least one in natural metal with big red stars!

I like the idea of the strike fighter MiG 25.

Having read through the section on the Pe-2 in my Osprey Encyclopedia of Russian Aircraft and a few other books it doesn't appear to have been used as a torpedo bomber, so that's me sorted

I like the idea of the strike fighter MiG 25.

Recce versions were used as fast bombers from Egypt against Israel, AFAIK...

Also found two more potential builds: a whiffy T-34 howitzer version, and a kitbashed heavy escort fighter for the late Forties, based on my favorite P-47/Supermarine Attacker combo that spawned the Ki-104.

So many ideas, so little lifetime...
