In the meantime, I've scratchbuilt AN/ALQ-101 pod for the second Super Hunter. I had one pod from a weapons set but lacked the second one. However, with some sprue and some plasticard, I managed to sort one in less than an hour.

Got a bit inspired and scratched up a pair of Phimat chaff pods as well for the Hunters while I was at it. Good thing that I've gotten something positive out of this day.

Yes, something less painful but totally effective. I hope that's not a contradiction in terms for you!

Not heard of a Donkey boss.  I've had a Seagull boss.  He'd fly in, sh*t all over everything, and fly out.

<edit> or is that the sweary mary detector replacing ar5e with donkey?
Is a seagull boss the same as MUSHROOM MANAGEMENT? Kept in the dark with buckets of S*** thrown over you at regular intervals?

The other problem is a bungee manager.   He's like a horizontal bungee jump.....hurtle in, make a pigs ear of things and then get yanked out again Before the fertilizer hits the windmill.

Yes, Fred, i believe it's the word being changed because i wrote the 3 letter word and it changed it to donkey.  ;D
Rheged, those are all pretty much the same to me, or at least, all rounded into one, that's very close to some managers/supervisors that i've had to deal with in the past... and also dealing with in my current job. :banghead:

Pellson, best wishes going out from Portugal to you, mate. Hope it goes as smooth as can be and you get that infection healed up ASAP. Take it easy.

Two days entirely without modelling. Or very close to, as I suddenly remember that I did take out the started Airfix Meteor F.8 and the very much unstarted Meteor T7,5 to have a look at the recce nose from the latter, thinking of adding it to the former. It looks as if it should work very nicely, actually.

Tomorrow will be another rainy day by the looks of the forecast, so maybe I'll get something done. Maybe.

An old chap I worked with many years ago said that "Every job can use a great deal of standing still and looking at"   which is exactly what you are doing.

Boss: "You're pretty slow at making these parts, but I'm going to give them to you anyway."

Me: "Why, if I'm so slow?"

Boss: "Because they never come bouncing back as QA rejects when you do them."

Me: "Has it occurred to you that these two things may not be unrelated?"

Are you sure about that second line spokewn by the "Boss"?

Another utterly useless weekend has gone by. Last week, I went for X-rays of my liver on Tuesday, and even in the evening, my very watchful oncologist called and said somethings fishy in the liver. Not tumours, but possibly a new puss abscess. She said she'd hunt down the surgeons about it, but the experience with the surgeons is that they don't move until forced to, so I wasn't too surprised to have a call from them only on Friday. Then, I was told that the abscess this time sits in the lung sack and that while not being massive, the infection specialist think it should be drained, if nothing else so to get a puss sample to grow a study on in order to match the antibiotics to use. And that would be don the following week, this week. So I was to stay cool, have a nice weekend and they would report back like Tuesday or so.
Unless I get a fever, of course. Then it's ER again.

And come Friday night, of course I get a fever. So the significantly better half drove me into the next, bigger town, with the uni hospital where my oncologist is based, and drops me off there. During the trip, I've called ahead, having the on jour oncologist to call the ER to fast track me through to the surgeons ward. Fast and fast.. I reported to the ER at 1130 PM and finally got to the ward at 0430 in the morning..

The original plan was to get the drain set in during the weekend, but that went to it's up as people can't seem to drive motorcycles anymore without needing life saving health care on regular basis, but yesterday it went in, the fever immediately went down and now we're just waiting for the infection chappies to grow their Petri bowls. And at least, it looks as if I'm thrown out before next weekend. And the drain possibly taken out, as the puss production seems to have vaned very quickly even with the broad spectrum antibiotics they're giving me in the veins ion anticipation of the final, adapted ones.

But not a paint stroke made. Not a drop of glue spilled. Annoying.

And even worse, the weather has really taken off. Cock, to quote a pretty well known TV presenter..

Hells Bells Pellson, that sounds pretty darn awful! :(

Great that your (much...) better half hauled you into the hospital with some speed  and that they are on the case.

Stick in there and remember we're all with you mentally.

That's a B and a half mate.

Stick with it and if you need to vent your feelings remember we are here.

Hope your luck changes soon.

It always happens Friday or Saturday night at the ER!
Get better soon! At least your doctors have an idea what's wrong and are dealing with it.
