Waiting to leave some blood samples, and came to have a look at the armour projects list. There is a certain imbalance in production, methinks...  ;D

At least, I am sharing the 2nd place. Not too bad for a chap who usually builds wingy thingys..  ;)

Well, at least I have 3 builds on page 2 ... But it's still a pretty poor showing for an armour modeller. :banghead:

I say "armour modeller" (& that is my preferred field) but I would have to say the stash is about 45% vehicles (most of which are armoured), 40% aircraft & 15% ships.

I won't go into numbers, suffice to say that I really must increase my output if I'm to have any hope of building most of them before I'm 100.

I think that applies to most if not all of us
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

200 in my case, and maybe 300 in OGL's case!  :o

First coating of hemp on the Valiant tanker is on, and I actually managed to paint a few Sneb pods as well, while at it (but not hemp).

The rest of the day went in the garden, trying to find connection through the border cable to the automower. Most years, the cable has survived during the winter, but every now and then, there is an old joint that's gone tits up, or some insulation having been pierced by an unfortunate rock or similar, but this year, I have faults on at least three separate places, or rather sections of the border cable. Dead annoying, because it is a proper pain finding the faults. Not there yet, unfortunately, and the grass is now half a foot high..

Ah, well..  I might sort it tomorrow, and that Valiant need a proper dry-out before adding the next layer anyway.

Sounds like you need a scythe or an older type mower.

Actually, as soon as it is working, it's entirely unparalleled. I never mow, never rake and never bother. It just sorts all of it on its own, and I have about 5000 m2 to mow. Doing it with a petrol driven mower will take six hours, and at this time of the year, you have to do it thrice a week.
So I'm happy to sort the cabling every now and then. I'm saving time already the first day it works.  ;)

If you have a lawn - get an Automower. It's the original robotmower and still the best you can get.

Undoubtedly, that will leave you with less disturbances from garden work..  ;)

To build all the Spitfires ALONE, I may well have to forego the luxury of death.  To build everything, I'd have to be immortal.

I suspect that I would need to live long enough to see the Enterprise E make her maiden voyage from space dock before I finish building everthing in my stash...............based on it being locked down now and no new kits added between now and the 25th century
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

What I perhaps find most annoying is that I have further increased the stash since realising the impossibility of me building it out. Not really a logical and sensible course of action, is it?
Still - just rummaging through it and recapitulating dreams and plans for the different objects is a treat in itself.

Yes, it IS logical, specially for Whiffers like us.

If you have an idea for a model that needs the wings from A-37, the fuselage from a Much Worsley Alcantara and the engines from an Ivchenkoski Sku-138V then you just HAVE to buy kits of those three.

Then of course you have a wingless A-37, a fuselage-less Alcantara and an engine-less Sku-138V, but they're just 'fuel' for further ideas which just MAY require future purchases.  ;) ;D

Considering that we're exclusively using petrochemical products, it might be a good thing that we're not having an environmental debate on stashes..  ;D
