Then of course you have a wingless A-37, a fuselage-less Alcantara and an engine-less Sku-138V, but they're just 'fuel' for further ideas which just MAY require future purchases.  ;) ;D

Considering that we're exclusively using petrochemical products, it might be a good thing that we're not having an environmental debate on stashes..  ;D

I consider mine to be carbon capture and storage.  It is therefore improving my carbon footprint.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

That's the way I figured it!

Still - just rummaging through it and recapitulating dreams and plans for the different objects is a treat in itself.

Absolutely  That and finding something you had completely forgotten about  ;D

I have almost  EACTLY that problem!! I hope to unite these items with  the wings of a Petropavlovsk Iron Foundry  Isvestya   and  the floats of a Zapata Bucket Works Azteca  to make an early Namibian aircraft.  Do colleagues here have any advice for me  (other than stop being silly, shut up and go away)?

Yes, GO FOR IT!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Well - both mower robots are now performing, and added to that, I've sorted some necessary maintenance on the Defender as well as having assisted the wife in assembling a new barbecue (yes, she's the barbecue master here. I'm doing other things, such as pies etc) and prepared a trailer for an axle rebuild. Annoyingly productive day, it seems. However, I have still had time to relax a bit, but I spent that time softing rather than modelling. Sometimes, you have to prioritise sun and rest.

There will be other, more modelling intensive days ahead

'Softing', I LIKE that word.  ;D

It says exactly how the process feels.

Aye. It does, doesn't it?  ;D

And why not? They often filch and shamelessly fold/spindle/mutilate-beyond-recognition some of OUR stuff, so turn-about is fair play.

Yes! Wholeheartedly agree with both!

Managed to arm an old Venom FB.4 that's been hanging around for ages, and also an updated two seater Meteor. FB.22, maybe?

Apart from that - nought. And considering my  still rather limited capacity plus the fact that I try to prioritise actually contributing something at home, it's as it should, for the time being.

I would also like to get a second coat on the Valiant any day soon, but all in good time.

A phrase we can all to easily forget. Sometimes when we accept that we seem to make far quicker progress anyway

Two days entirely without modelling. Or very close to, as I suddenly remember that I did take out the started Airfix Meteor F.8 and the very much unstarted Meteor T7,5 to have a look at the recce nose from the latter, thinking of adding it to the former. It looks as if it should work very nicely, actually.

Other than that, yesterday was very rainy but I was rather preoccupied with family stuff so didn't get any time for myself. Today, the weather improved significantly and I spent most of the day outside, trying to be useful. It's not very easy as I'm still annoyingly weak from my illness.

An upside, though, is that the oncologist called and told me that my liver values that were worrying everyone, me included, last week now are fine. That is an absolutely massive stone off my chest, and I think it actually brought me quite some extra energy today, making the gardening a lot more fruitious.

But now it's been bedtime for more than two hours already, so I'd better get my head down.  Tomorrow will be another rainy day by the looks of the forecast, so maybe I'll get something done. Maybe.

An old chap I worked with many years ago said that "Every job can use a great deal of standing still and looking at"   which is exactly what you are doing.

That's actually a very wise way of running a job, because by implementing enough afterthought and evaluation during rather than after the process, you will minimise faults and fuckups, and those are generally much more expensive than the slightly longer duration in the slower process.

But do try to convince a young bean counter about that, I dare you..

Good news

It's amazing how much energy worrying about something can use, even if you are unconsciously worrying.
