lately, i have drawn away from all the Military action and set my mind on Civil aviation for a while.
as part of the updated Citybird fleet, i have started on a Revell 1/144 Embraer 195.
this kit was released earlier in 2016, and goes together very easely.

as for decals, im gonna use Skyline Decals its 1/200 Boeing 737 sheet.

in less then an hour, i made some great progress, this afternoon, the fuselage recieved a second layer of green

here's a progress pic from last night:

on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

Is the fuselage OOB or has it been extended? Looks very long and sleek?

I also already had an eye on the kit for a conversion...

Plot twist!!!   The tailplanes are actually cannards, and main wings are the tailplanes, and we've yet to see the actual main wings.  ;D

Update:

just managed to get all the sub-assemblies built and painted.
the wings and engines need another layer and detailing, the fuselage is already fully painted and the first decals have been applied and sealed.

pics to follow soon...

Oh yes Nils, I love that Citybird scheme!

It really suits the EMB 195 as well.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
