Received today from a very well known on-line auction site

1 x 1/72 Hasegawa Kfir C2 but I'm not sure which version this will end up as due to ordering a couple of those very nice AMK Kfir C2/C7's yesterday but as I ordered decals as well it may be one of the Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC) aircraft

Gondor
Mine are all going to be Honduran, I broke and bought one of the AMK Kfir's too, as a Mirage 2000 I won on Ebay has gone missing with Hermes. Third problem in a row with this bunch of muppets.

Got the new A&A Models 1/72 VJ-101C X2, very nice on part with Modelsvit/A-Model in terms or quality and detail, includes etched seat harnesses and  Canopy masks, option open or closed canopies, fine boarding ladder. The detai is a little soft on some of the small parts, wheels, lift jet fans blades as not as sharp and crisp as some, but still OK.

Good news the next kit is the VAK-191  followed by the X1 version of the 101 so a nice one to go with the VTOL collection.

Bought the 1/72 Trumpeter MiG-31B/BM Foxhound yesterday and wiffing it was the reason I bought it as it struck me it
would look good in USAF markings. The Russian markings with the kit can go onto a F-15 that has gone rogue and defected
to somewhere in eastern Europe in the early 1980s.

The Wooksta!

From ebay:
CMR Spitfire F.VIII RAAF
CMR Spitfire mk IXe

The latter I already have and it comes with two spare sets of wings, so they'll be added to a set of AZ fuselages.  Both cost considerably less than the equivalent Eduard kits - the mk VIII being less than the Eduard Weekend edition -  proving that the latter are indeed the "Platinum standard" for Spitfires and thus knocking the much vaunted CMR into a cocked hat on detail, price and value for money.

An A Model CMC Leopard arrived from the Big H today.

It's a lovely little thing, and it's TINY!

The wing span is less than the tailplane span of my Monterey by quite a margin.  :o

Back in Japan and visited my favourite second-hand model store.  They didn't have the 1/72 Airfix Supermarine S.6 I was looking for, but I did grab a bag of parts that looks like an Airfix Skyray (I have a WHIF plan for that one, so I'm really only after the fuselage anyway).  I also grabbed a Fiat CR.32 (even though I thought it was a CR.42) and a crappy Polish ripoff of the Heller C.714 (which I thought was a rebox... guess not).

All in all a fun scramble through a pile of dusty boxes that cost me $15 total.
Thanks!

Greg

If you can find one the old FROG S6B is much better than the Airfix one. They show up on eBay now and then.

^^^^ What Kit said, it's a nice little kit, and I'm not even a 72tooth guy.  ;)

Rheged

Madame Rheged's gardening stash grew this morning....a 220 litre water butt.  No prizes for guessing my build task of the early afternoon....fitting a diverter  unit from a downpipe so that we collect all of that lovely rainwater for free!!

Today arrive the AMK Kfir C2/7, very nicely detailed kit, with lots of ordnance for the spares boxes. I think this will just get an IFR probe fitted to it like my other C-7's and a cammo scheme. Most of my mirages that I have done have an all over grey scheme, so will see.
