Finally picked up parcel from Hannant's that I missed last week and had to collect from the Post Office.
Picked up a pair of the Arma Two Stage Merlin's for the Mossie whilst we still can as they had ceased their resin lines and put them up for sale.
Also picked up an Italeri HH-60H Seahawk to fill the box up and for use as Whiff build perhaps, as I had the ASW SH-70 Seahawk and UH-60 Blackhawk so got the one in between  ;D

From Evil Bay.
T.Bolts & 109 by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr
Messerschnitt is the original release from 1976.  Jugs are from 1980.
Consider this.  For $36 I got Razorback and Bubbletop Jugs and an Me 109 (sic) all posted to me.
If I had driven to the LHS, and they had one in stock then I would have had to pay at least $60 (I found one on E-bay for $120!) for the two Jugs (same 1974 moulds) in a combo set.  But I would have missed out on such gorgeous box design.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I managed to find a 1/500 scale Boeing 2707 SST, painted silver lower fuselage with a black cheatline on gloss white, TWA decals no manufacturers mark. Landing gear is stowed away. Wings in the swept back position. No stand with model.
Tried looking for another one on line in TWA decals but haven't come across one yet.

NARSES2

I've fond memories of Hasegawa boxings from that period Mr Zenrat, nice buys
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I must admit I included the Me 109 because they have described it as an Me 109 not a Bf 109 and so it is guaranteed to upset some people.
;D
Scalemates list it as a Bf 109 despite their rules saying models should be listed according to the description on the box lid.

I've taken to calling 109's simply that... "109".

Thanks to a wind storm and some busted irrigation I had some money fall in my lap!! Just so happens I was watching this thing and then managed to get it in the price range I was shooting for  (<$45.)

Still need the Galaxy but finding one of them cheap is proving to be rather difficult.

That's a really good kit, unlike the Atlas I'm building, but they're about the same size overall. It fits much better than the Atlas and really looks the part too. You can build it with the nose and tail doors open, but that means a LOT of interior painting first.  :o

That's why it's fun to point out to the huffy designation numpties
that period RLM and Messerschmitt documents use both designations
interchangeably, and in a number of cases both in the same document.

If possible, I'd like to make it in a fashion where I can open and close things at will... not so sure about the kneeling action but I'd like to at least try that, as well. I was readin' about the kit a little bit yesterday when I discovered that the rear doors are actually molded, two of them separately, one open and one closed, so that's nice but I'd like figure out some way to either combine the two or.... something. I'll brainstorm on it when the stuff actually arrives.

I was reading along with your update about putting on the decals for your Atlas.... all them stencils and stuff....   ;D which leads me to the next thing I read about this Ruslan that piqued me interest: there are over 500 stencils between the two wings?!  Ol' boy said 252 per wing.... Holy smokes.     I'm not sure how many will make it on there but I'll at least try. :o

After Colin of Freightdog mentioned that 26 Decals were selling VC-10's at a nice price I decided to get one, in BOAC markings.

It arrived today and looks like a great deal. You get the very nice RODEN VC-10 kit in a plastic bag with the instruction sheet emblazoned with the 26 Decals logo and a set of their Decals to go with it. No box other than the one it was posted in. A great result I think

It'd be a fair amount of very fine plastic engineering to get the doors to work, but it sounds a great idea.

Revell do seem to go over the top with their stencils, but everyone's getting in on the act these days, viz the current Airfix stuff. I don't find Revell's decals stick all that well either, and I tend to give them a coat of Klear after an hour to ensure they stay put, any earlier and you risk blowing or brushing the darn things off!

I've got this 2-6 Decals 1/72 scale sheet for my Airways Vac Form kit. Which you can make in various versions including the RAF ones
