Very restrained day at South Cheshire Militaire (aka the Crewe-but-in-Nantwich show):

And even more restrained for me at the same show..........Apart from refreshments, nothing else was purchased.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

Not restrained, in the slightest, from the south Cheshire show, but could have been worse had I not been on the bike, as someone was selling a 1/72nd scale osa missile patrol boat. Anyhow, came home with some ca glue, putty, paint brushes, some styrene card, and... all 1/72nd scale, Eastern Express M113, Revel Leopard 1, Panzerhaubitze 2000 X2, Revell T-55 A/AM. Was good to see Martin and Harold, as it has been a while.

Kora Fw Ta 152S
Kora Fw Ta 152H recon version
Kora Fw Ta 152B-5 attack fighter (new wing)

Interested to see what you do with these.

I've seen a few of these Kora "upgraded" kits on the Big H Website and wondered if they were worth the extra cost, as sometimes Kora can be on the pricey side. I'd value your opinion mate.

The resin looks good in teh photos.  If and when any of them get built is anyone's guess - the two seater is likely the first to be done (JG301 tailband as it's in context) but very likely with RAF roundels and an Air Min Number.  Because they lost. And the Luftwaffe '46 fanboys and apologists need to realize this.

Something I'll probably do with that Arado and a few other Luft'46/late war types is have them operated post-war by Czechoslovakia. The back story is that the Germans staged a last-minute 'surge' using Luft'46 stuff, which still didn't win them the war, but it knocked the Soviets back harder than the Western allies. The post-war settlement therefore allowed states like Czechoslovakia to be compulsory-neutral 'buffer' states like real-life Finland and Austria instead of joining the Warsaw Pact. Limited by treaty in what arms they could have and/or import, they therefore had to make do with what German stuff was being built on their territory at the end of the war and develop it further, a bit like the real-life Avia S-99/S-199 etc...

Basically, this scenario exists to give you an excuse to build Luft'46 stuff without Swastikas on it, and you could easily extend it to to other WP countries. If anybody wants to use this idea, please feel free, since I'll probably not get around to building the models for it for ages, if at all.

Both ideas sound good to me - and I'll add another... some of the advanced stuff in Israeli markings... ... cos I like the irony - the Nastees are gone but the Israelis hang on, using former Nastee stuff.

Popped into the Hobby Shop today to pick up some paint and left with a 1/72 (natch) Airfix Harrier GR7A/GR9A.
No plans, I just felt I should build a decent modern Harrier kit.

Picked up some more Russian 1/700 stuff off Hannants

Dreammodel Project 677 Lada class submarines (Twin kit pack)
Hobbyboss Kilo class submarine
Dragon USS Ingersoll Destroyer with Russian Delta III SSBN

The Ingersoll is just a stock Spruance class USN Destroyer that I might modify to a project version as the only way to get a Delta III sub kit.

I found my Sub kits for the Cold War SIG so I thought I would try and add a few more to the set whilst i'm in a think Russian mood at the moment  ;D

Received from the Big yellow H as a follow up order to my previous one, don't you just hate it when you realise that you should have ordered a couple of more things the first time round  :banghead:

1 x Xtracolor X030 BS110 Roundel Blue                        To be used for touching up RAF roundels and painting the cheat line on my C-5A
1 x Xtracolor X122 FS15044 Insignia Blue                     To be used to paint the cheat line on my C-18B
1 x 1/72 Revell AH-1W "Super Cobra"                           The idea is to modify into the "Z" version of the family after seeing a build on Britmodeller, or I could do it as Israeli

Somehow a Zvezda Il-2 stuck itself to it as I was leaving the shop.

That's terrible, you just can't trust these plastic kits further than you can throw them.........  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

No-no, Kit - you don't throw them, you pick them up lovingly and take them back to the stash and treat them gently... well, until the time comes for a bit of mayhem and butchery...
Of course, if they prove at all recalcitrant, then you can throw them...

I haven't rec'd it yet, but I just bought a kit of a WEIRD airplane:

Yes, that's some sort of weird pole-wheel-thingy that goes across the ground as this twin boomer flies.....     I've done a little research but it seems not much is known about this goofy plane...
