From the N Gauge Model Railway Show yesterday, a 1/150 scale Queen Mary trailer kit! That's 2mm-ft for you non-model railway types, the more accurate version of N gauge.

It's moulded in resin with wire reinforcements and amazing etched brass side girders that are going to be the devil to fold, but the completed model on the stand looked amazing.

There's a whole crowd of us poised with eager anticipation!

Well, since it was a birthday present, it would be rude not to start working on it... especially in light of such overwhelming support. :D

Once I clear out Jiro's birdplane, the Ponyo submarine and the Fiat 500/600 I'm currently working on, the "planes of Porco Rosso" will be my next project.
Thanks!

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Yes indeed.  However the project will only succeed if you can help to identify all of them first.

I do have my eyes on a Macchi M.5 though... ;)
Thanks!

From Ebay: AZ Models Martin Baker MB-5 Boscombe Down Special decal sheet

It has schemes for:

Raspberry Ripple
Black QuinetiQ ETPS early scheme
Orange/white/grey test scheme with photo targets
Black QuinetiQ late scheme

Since I only have one MB-5 these arn't going to be used on it but they're plenty useful for other projects....

From Wingnut Wings damaged goods sale:
Junkers J.1
De Havilland DH-9A 'Ninak'

$29.00 each, so even with shipping from NZ less than $50 each,
much better than the current list of $119 each + shipping.

Boxes were water-damaged and a bit moldy in places, straight into
the outside bin. Kit contents just fine, except for decal sheets, outside
bin again.
Not that they were actually relevant to plans anyhow.

Just won on eBay a 1/72 Monogram Convair B-36H/RB-36H Peacemaker.
It's the most expensive kit that I have ever bought secondhand. Probably not the largest as the 1/48 B-29A is the largest so far.

PR19_Kit

I think you'll find the 1/72 B-36 has a greater span than the 1/48 B-29, and it'll be longer too, it's a BIG aeroplane!

Well it is the LARGEST plastic scale model airplane kit ever produced.  Look, it says so right there on the box lid.  Bottom RH corner. ;D ;D

I received, from Hobby Link Japan (11 days door to door using the cheapest post option - not bad) the following;
Aoshima 1/12 Kawasaki 900 Super 4 Z1 (I have discovered they now make models of bikes I am interested in as well as of crotch rockets and boat anchors).
Hasegawa 1/72 Sv-262Hs Draken III Macross Delta (with golden decals, not that they will get used.  No ideas for whiffing yet).
Bandai 1/72 Type 0 Model 52 Space Carrier Fighter Cosmo Zero (Space Battleship Yamato 2199 - no whiff ideas yet but I have the other one and will do them as a pair).
