Well, I'm not going to do anything with the Shinden kit right now. It'll just sit in my stash for the moment collecting dust. As I said, I only "jokingly" said I'd take it. I never expected to actually get it. But if for any reason the other modelers want it back and this was all some mistake, then they can have it back. I can always get another with my tax refunds.
And if they don't want it back, I'll gladly pay postage to send it my way!

The TFX kit is good fun, especially if you leave all the working bits in there.

Got hold of the 1/72 Revell TXF F-111A and B kit.

Well done, they're not so easy to find these days, and a good source of the short nose and long wings for the -B, even if they lack a little in the accuracy stakes.

Not that we give a fig for that on here of course.  ;D
Thanks Kit,

Picked up from a neighbour today a parcel from Amazon, which confused me as I never ordered anything from Amazon recently. Inside the box was

1 x 1/72 HobbyBoss Do 335 which I intend to turn into a Do 535/2 which I had ordered on ebay

From BNA Modelworld a pair of resin 1/32 Hawker Typhoon wheels.

No, I have not turned to the dark side and started modelling aircraft in an improper scale.  I am using them on a 1/25 car.

I'm at a local model show and just scored a 1/48 AMT Beech Staggerwing and an Accurate Miniatures A-36 Apache. Plus two 1/72 Revell P-47s. All for $30. Can you say zwilling P-47?

No, but you can build an F-94, one that's NOT made by Lockheed with a jet engine...........  ;D

After long hunting I got hands on an MPM 1:72 Fw 190 V18.

The Wooksta!

Be prepared for a LOT of work!  It's one of their early ones.

I've got an Airmodel injection one somewhere, the later version with the longer wings that are closer to a Ta 152. Rough is the best way to describe it, being on par with some of the older Pegasus kits.

The V18 was later rebuilt to Ta 152H standards and found blown up at Leck.  IIRC, Aoshima included the markings for it in their Ta 152H-0.

Good heavens, I've got one of those, goodness knows why, but I guess it does have longish wings.  ;D

I found it in The Loft only the other day, is it a good kit?

Superb.  The Aoshima Ta 152s are the best in the scale.

The cockpit detail is much the same as similar era Hasegawa but shapewise it's bang on and teh fit is excellent apart from the nose top cowl but that's easily fixed.

Had a good day at the Bolton IPMS show today: good to see folk after a long break.

Spent relatively little:

Airfix 1/72nd RA-5C Vigilante
Cyberhobby 1/200th Vulcan B.2 (NEW for £10!)
Hasegawa 1/72nd Aircraft Weapons III - air-to-air missiles
Revell 1/144th Mirage F-1C

Master Tools decal tray (these things are great and very reasonably priced).
