Also picked up an Italeri B-66 yesterday!
Box says it a B-66B but the decals are for two different tactical recon squadrons. That would make it the RB-66. So which is it? Or is it something in between?

From the Bolton IPMS Model show

Sold a few kits so that funded the Orange Hobby 1/700 1982 HMS Hermes I had preordered from Starling models plus a Combrig 1/700 Russian Mine Hunter as a bonus

Other buys included
Revell 1/700 HMS Ark Royal V (circa Gulf War)
Zvezda 1/700 Sovremeny class Destroyer (Dragon Re-box)
Trumpeter 1/700 Admiral Graf Spee 1939 - reduced price and wanted to go with the new HMS Achilles & Ajax due out from Flyhawk later this year and hopefully a Matchbox HMS Exeter if I can find one so I can recreate the ships from the Battle of the River Plate (The resin kits of Exeter do he as per 1942 when sunk off Java  after the repairs ).

Nice show to get back into the swing and back amongst friends

Actually, these should be on last years page.......but, anyhow...here they are!
The cars are scaled at 1/43 and the planes at 1/100. With the planes, they are not actually scaled, they are still cartoon characters but the cars....wow.

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

MPC PBY Catalina
MPC F-4
Revell F-4B
AMT/ERTL F-100F   (neato, the decals were in good shape and feature the plane Gabby Gabreski flew... definitely want to build that one oob for a change! )
AMT/Hasegawa A-7 Corsair II  (MINUS WINDSCREEN  :banghead: )
ESCI/ERTL Osprey V-22A

All in 1/72

Anyone familiar with the Osprey? Going to transform it into a Soviet Russian ASW bird. Just wondering what to watch for.
One of the Phantoms is likely to turn Soviet as well per Iron Eagle II vintage..   ;)

Is that PBY the same moulds as the Airfix one?

<looks at Scalemates>

It appears it is.  I built one as a youth.  I remember being very taken with the opening blisters.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

these kinds of a bit toy-like mobile features had their charm, especially in this case, those bubble openings ...

The RB-66 kit comes with additional blade antennae and lacks the tail turret; this is also the kit that has recently been re-issued (with four decal options, though, one in cammo and the others NMF, IIRC). The original B-66 kit comes with two NMF options (blue and red trim), while the original RB-66 had, IIRC one or two options, one of them bearing a shark mouth, and both SEA scheme.

Is that an original build Basset Alastair, or one of the short lived 'crowd requested' versions?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

It's an original Kit, Green background to the Airfix logo on the top and long sides with red backed logo on the short ends and no stripe on the box lid.
