Perhaps not too wacky, an RAF Boeing Washington being used as a test hack.   Big turbo prop in the nose,

How do you do that on a B-29 and still let the pilot see where they're going?
Do it Lindbergh style: periscopes!

That'd work, yes.

Or perhaps bug-eye canopies like the XB-42 or the original C-74 Globemaster?

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

You could try using a B-17G  cockpit on top of the front of the fuselage. It does work as I used it on a B-29 AEW build.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The Wooksta!

My Huddersfield additions:

Eduard Spitfire mk IX "Royal Combo"
Heller Spitfire mk XVIe (x2)
Airfix Spitfire Vb (t'was a quid!)
Fujimi Spitfire mk XIVe lowback

Heller De Havilland Mistral (t'was a quid!)

Just won the Airfix Avro Shackleton on eBay for less than £30.
I'll use this to build a Shackletrian (transporter version of the Shackleton) with the windows from the Mach2 York.

That... actually makes perfect sense. Plus it would have been a much better subhunting platform than looted I-153's and SB-2's in OTL.

Nick

As Chris observed I seem to have a way of finding the rarest and oddest kits out there.  ;D

Kiddyland Ching-Kuo fighter. Looks like the body of an F-17 with the wings and tail of an F-16.
Hasegawa Mitsubishi MU-2S.
Amodel MiG-AT jet trainer.

It might also be true that I'm developing a SST problem (no, I don't need a doctor!) with all the Concorde types I have...  :o

Entex 1/600 Boeing SST 2707
ICM 1/144 Tu-144 Concordski. Absolute bargain price of £12!
