Self consuming machinery! Ha!   Thanks for that bit.... pretty fascinating.  As I've often lamented about craft of these type. . .  I sure wouldn't want to strap in to one and fly off..

I wish this one had the wing tip rockets.. that sounds cool. Maybe I'll get lucky and the option will be in the kit but I doubt that!

Not a kit but model related to me anyhow, Janes world armoured fighting vehicles from 1976. For the measly sum of £1.75 from ebay. so worth every penny  A lot of stuff in it that interests me and will be getting read cover to cover tonight.

I've got that: it's an excellent time capsule.

Powered by Red Fuming Nitric Acid and Kerosene, a lovely cocktail that literally ate the engines!

You don't have to have acquired an interest in rocketry for long before you realise one of life's fundamental truths: there is no such thing as 'nice' rocket fuel. Even if you didn't know chemistry from cookery, if someone asked you to stick your hand in a bucket of something called 'Red Fuming Nitric Acid', would you do it?

You are not wrong there H, I have just been giving it a proper look at and it could have some future builds/scratch builds in it. I also have a couple of the Janes pocket sized books on vehicles too.

It's very nice looking and no doubt one of the other available boat trailers could be modified to fit it if it was to be displayed behind a car.

I'm jealous.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Didn't AMT do a 'Boat, trailer and pickup' kit at one time? I think I still have the boat bit, packs a small block Chevy with stack pipes IIRC.

If you go back to what I still think of as the classic days of the US model kit industry (late 50's through 60's) then there were lots of "Lifestyle" kits like that. We all thought that was how all American's lived.

Ah the innocence of youth  ;D Mind you kits like that can bring it back to you........for an hour or so anyway
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

There have been a few 1/25 boats.  I'm currently working on (and off) a Hemi Hydro.

That Ski Drag boat and Trailer was the one I was thinking of, but came with a pickup as well. I got the motor wrong though, that's obviously a blown Hemi.

I love the look of the two F1 race boats, I didn't know anyone did an outboard tunnel hull like that.

The Big H delivered my two TF-102 conversions just now, and they look VERY good, the best TF-102 around for sure.

Off eBay

Cyberhobby 1/700 HMS Dragon - RN Type 45 Destroyer - very cheap and different from their Daring kit in that it has the US Weapon sprue rather than NATO to give the optional Harpoon launchers and because that sprue doesn't have a Lynx, they have done a rather tasty Merlin HMA1 which is quite amusing as when they did their latest version of HMS Illustrious they included a pair of RAF Harrier GR7 and a pair of Merlin's but they had tooled the HC3 rather than the ASW version  :banghead:.

This kit will be used as a parts donor to my HMS Queen Elizabeth CVF that I am refurbishing, the 30mm guns will be used along with the Merlin to help make up the airgroup and I shall probably update the remained of the kit

And I got the other Cyberhobby HMS Dragon kit that I had also bided on today - two were at low prices so bid on both as was expecting to get outbid and ended up winning both  :banghead:.

Anyway the first one has already been shortened slightly and cut down a deck to act as a basis for a new Type 26 Frigate which will go nicely with my CVF task force; already have a couple of Type 45's and have started a Type 31 based on the BMT Venator 110 concept.
