Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I have one in the stash, the nose glazing is very similar in shape and size to the gun nose from the Airfix B-25, the one with the hand loaded cannon in. Yes, I will be putting it on

You mean the P2V-5 Neptune which was not an AEW type even though the UK ones were used in trials as AEW

Half an Airfix Shackleton from one of the guys on Britmodeller, comprising wings, engines, u/c, doors and props.  This means I can either build my Avro Tudor or another late mark Avro Alston.

One can't help but wonder what the supplier is going to do with just the fuselage and tail.........  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

The Wooksta!

He's using it to backdate the Revell AEW2 to the MR2.  There are some who prefer the Revell to the Airfix Shackleton.  The former does have better surface detail, but the Airfix has a more correct shape (the Revell nose is too fat and closer to an MR3) and the Airfix engines are beefier and the kit has better internal detail.  Revell's is somewhat crude by comparision.  Revell does have a better fit but for me, the Airfix kit is better.  I thoroughly enjoyed the one I did, whereas the Revell one I've yet to finish basic assembly.
