Wingnut Wings 1/32 Sopwith Pup "RFC". A friend asked for my address the other day and I found this on my doorstep today at lunchtime, complete with a very heartwarming letter. I'm afraid I came over all emotional.

Well done mate, both on getting the kit and what ever you did to earn it

Be interested in your take on it as I keep finding myself sorely tempted with splashing out on a Wingnut Wings.

Me too, if I ever develop the skills to pull off a halfway decent job I'd love to get hold of a Snipe.  Nice pressie Zac.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Today arrived my back ordered Trumpeter 172nd scale JS-7. Kit is quite sparse parts wise as the tracks are one piece with the road wheels etc. This will get a bit of mild modification, and be fitted with a gun stolen from a T-80

Model Alliance Wings and Waves Vol 2 arrived today.  I've got the other sheet but this is the one I wanted, largely for all the HMS Glorious aircraft.

He's an incredibly positive, encouraging and generous friend. I thought he wanted send me a magazine or something. Long story, but he wanted to help out in a time of real stress and need for my wife and I.

It is absolutely gorgeous and well worth the asking price. I'll be starting it Saturday and have already identified the option to build...but with slight differences to make it eligible to post here!

Yes, but I really want to see a heavily whiffed Wingnut Wings kit.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Zak, you can build and post here anything you want, OOB, RW, Whiff world, anything. I'd like to see you do this as you really want it to be, not just to fit into a particular sector just because you post here.
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Absolutely agree with Kitnut.

We've had a few real world models on the site before.

Thanks gents, you're all very kind. It's a beautiful kit with an instruction booklet that'll go on the bookshelf when the build's done (it's just too pretty to throw away). It's a whif only because none of the included schemes appeal but it'll still look like a line RFC aircraft.

If I had the money I do have a handful of WNWWhif ideas...

I find these purchases fascinating it's a whole genre I wasn't really aware of and didn't know there were so many kits out there covering it. I know the old Modelzone store at Holborn used to have a large section covering this type of thing but haven't seem much else about.

Thanks for opening my eyes to the whole thing

Sort of gives some ideas of the vast range of stuff from the likes f Japan for Sci-Fi GB as those ships and Mechs could be used for all sorts of stuff
