The Wooksta!

Collected the trio of mk XVIes - two had broken fuselages, the break being in the starboard half engine cowling.  However, they had replacement fuselage SPRUES, which is fantastic because that means a complete fuselage and wing assembly, and given the sheer volume of spares in the Eduard kit, means I have two for the price of one, albeit with a small amount of resin casting on my part and using some Falcon canopy sets for part of the glazing.

The break in the cowling is also quite clean, meaning it's very fixable.

Other additions from Wor Show:

Eduard Spitfire mk IX "Royal Combo" - bargain price of £40 and was the one that I couldn't get from Models for Sale at 'uddersfield due to running out of wadge.  VERY surprised that no one else bought it because it's a steal at that price!
Eduard Spitfire mk XVIe Dual Combo - on order from MJW
Benes-Mraz Be-50 Beta Minor - looks a bit like a Magister but with a trousered u/c.  Came with German markings but will go Czech post war.

From Narses:
CMR Seafire mk XV
CME Seafire F.46

I have to be honest and say that there was nothing that really grabbed me at the show.  Okay, the Royal Combo was snaffled as soon as I saw it - actually, I was looking to see if they had it and pounced - but although there were things I would have liked to have bought and normally would have, this time I just held back.  Falcon spotted a pair of Airfix PR19 Spits bagged for a few quid each and I put them back.  I have more than enough, even to use as donor kits.  Likewise a similarly priced Frog/Novo Attacker.  What is wrong with me?

NARSES2

From the Northern Show yesterday, all 1/72

Sword Ki-102. The fighter version. I'll add some aces markings to it, but otherwise out of the box.

AZ Me 109 G-0, the butterfly tail version. Second one in the stash and will probably be Italian. I have a transfer sheet full of Italian 109 options in the collection.

MPM boxing of the Academy P-39 (P-400) USAAC markings. I've built at least 5 of these in wif markings and it's a nice enjoyable build. Just fancy a real world one.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

It would appear that I've won another Eduard Spitfire mk XVIe dual combo on evilbay.  Even with postage, still less than retail.

I had a few dollars spare after covering bills etc recently so splashed (lol) out on a Revell reboxing of the Pit-Road 1/700 HMS Sheffield, purely because it was cheap and I have a feeling I'll want to build Coventry after reading Four Weeks in May. I'm looking at doing my first ship dio with it but don't expect to see anything anytime soon.

I didn't realise Revell were re-boxing Pit-Road Zac, cheers for the heads up

I think seascapes are some of the most difficult things to replicate. Best of luck

Actually Revell re-boxed the Dragon kits after they bought them from Pitroad, the Spruance, Tico, and OHP, and Charles F Adams kits were also passed over to Dragon and re-boxed by Revell but the Invincible's were Dragon's own tooling but used the NATO equipment sprue they picked up with the Type 42s.

^^ what he said. This boxing's from 1996! Has the full hull and base included, luckily for me.

When you see photos of the Coventry sinking the sea appears fairly mild, so hopefully an easier option for me.

Following Weavers 1 week build I decided to pickup an Emhar Fury off eBay as it suggested another idea to me that I might be able to explore when I get the time

TFX (pre F-111A/B) kit, note both noses!  Yes I know there are accuracy issues, and don't get me started on the triple plow debate Kit!, but always wanted one.  Complete, unstarted.  $7.

Hehehe, this one will run and run.  ;D

That's a very good find, I've not seen one for years now, and it's a lovely kit to build too.

A Revell (ex Matchbox) 1:700 HMS Tiger. I might try my skills on ships, sooner or later...  :o

Further additions: a Rogosarski IK-3 (Admiral) and a vintage AMT Klingon Cruiser kit. Just EUR 5,-, I could not resist. No real plan for it yet, but the SF GB will come along sooner or later.
