Does not look bad at all. Yes, it's a VERY early MPM kit and pretty crude. But it's the only 1:72 La-9/11 unless you like vacu kits...

Nice photos Zac, cheers

The bottom one, with the cowling off and exposed engine has an almost Fw 190/Zero look about it at first glance ?

You're very welcome! Dad has a rather nice DSLR he used to let me take to shows, nowadays all I do is static shots so I've not needed it in a while. All of these are from Warbirds Over Wanaka 2010, her last airshow appearance in NZ (and, to date, anywhere). Very glad I got to see her fly at a couple of shows.

Dad thought it looked so much like a 190 that when I said I wanted a model of it he suggested kitbashing one!

Just had delivered direct from Hataka the Modern British Army and RAF AFV paint set

http://hataka-hobby.com/products/modern-british-army-raf-afv-paint-set/

Has the acrylic colours to do the British Army post war schemes included the desert sand and the temporary whitewash winter camo, but it also has the RAF Blue Grey and Golden yellow for the airfield equipment

Interesting on two accounts -

One is how long did it take to get here ?

The second is that I didn't think you could send paints and that through the Royal Mail ?

8 days from Poland and they are Acrylic paints -water based so have no restrictions as none harmful to the postie, the red boxes at acrylic intended for air brushing, the blue box is the acrylic brush painting version and the new orange line is the Lacquer solvent based paints, which may run foul of the rules.

A Master etched and turned brass 20mm Vulcan cannon, destined for the tail turret of the Monterey, direct from Poland.

It's positively MINUTE, so I hope I can actially assemble the little jewel of a thing properly.  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Found the 1/72 vacform kit of the Blohm & Voss Bv 222. It's a Airmodel with clear vacform canopy which will be used on the Revell kit.
Eric the Viking will get the Contrail Avro Vulcan wings added to the Airmodel kit.
