Cockroaches aren't an issue.

Wasps. Now, wasps I don't like.

Cockroaches just seem so difficult to kill, mind you I've not tried that often, haven't really seen many.

Wasps ? Don't like them at all. If I get a bee in the house I shoo it out. Wasp gets a full can of fly killer.

The roaches mostly stay out in the garden.  Unlike those seen on american tv shows they travel solo.
I kill all European wasps on sight.  They don't belong here and unlike bees don't have the good grace to die after stinging me.

At the weekend I got a couple of Zvevda Ka-29 helix so I can rob the landing gear for another project and yesterday I got my 1/72 decals for the Bandai T-65 X-Wing for the Blue Squadron craft seen in Rogue One. A bit more appeal than the usual Red 5

I hope the T54E is easer to put together ( and a better engineered kit than the Conquer )  :banghead:

good luck with it.

From the Big H via Royal Mail.

IBG Models 1/72 PZL-42. This is the twin tailed, upgraded version of the PZL 23 which was flown in prototype form but not proceeded with.

I also got the Yahu pre-painted instrument panel detail set for it. These are the only after market upgrades I regularly get now as they are great value and no work to fit. Perfect combination in my view  ;D

First IBG kit I've bought an don opening the rather sturdy box I was met with a vision from the past. The plastic is that old yellow/brown/dun colour ? reminiscent of the days of Matchbox and others of the time. The quality however is nothing like those.

Looks very nice on the sprue with lots of crisp detail. There's a small etch set and the transfer sheet is small but looks well printed. Instructions are well printed with a nice addendum sheet for a piece they missed and full colour painting guide. Remind me a lot of Eduard.

Anyway the proof of the pudding as they say. I'll find out soon as I have distinct plans for this one to fit into my August 31st (coincidence it arrived on that date ?) 1940 scenario.

for once I was at a show as part of my club display.

From todays Bridlington and the Wolds show at Driffield.

Rugrat resins Avro 748. From a 2nd hand sale. Decals are shot but not a problem. And the price was massivly under its usual value.
Modelcollect V-1 and launch ramp set. You get two V-1's and two compleate ramps in this set, And reasonbly priced as well at £15.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

From Uncle Frank:

AZ/KP Spitfire mk IX/XVI joypack
Magna Bristol 148 - thinking far east night agent dropping scheme, like the Lysander as it was designed to teh spec that bore the Lysander.  I'll have to re-engine it with a Perseus as that's what teh production machines would have got.  Or possibly a Taurus.

And from one of the lads who gets down on a saturday:
Alleycat Shackleton T4 conversion.  John only wanted some of the bits to do the MR2 prototype, which left the nose glazing, which means that I can do either an ELINT Bomber command one or an as originally planned MR1 with the cheek barbettes and tail turret (plenty of Lancaster ones).

At long last an envelope arrived from Hannants (Antipodean customers - don't bother paying extra for tracking as they either won't or can't give you the tracking number).

3 decal sets, all 1/72.
Xtradecal RAAF & RNZAF National Insignia.
FCM P-40 Galore - USAAF (with & without red border & red centre), Finland & RAF (Egypt).  With stencils.  The RAF set is going on the Hasegawa Kittyhawk which is waiting only for them to be finished.
Aztec Models juicy Jugs - Mexico, Cuba, Chile, Columbia & Venezuela.  All are intended for bubbletop Jugs so of course I shall use at least one set on a razorback P-47 - prolly the Cuban set.

There system has only just started working properly for UK customers, in my case anyway.

I don't think tracking is much use overseas anyway as it would only track it from them to the International Sorting Office in the UK. Nothing after that.

it's a bit hit and miss. I recently sent a package from the Netherlands to Saudi Arabia. Tracking in the Netherlands was okay, then 3 weeks of silence until it arrived at Saudi customs, where regular tracking updates resumed.
