The cost of the Vampire is "Ouchies!" but (I hope) worth it.

Aye!! That's certainly reasonable. I've my eye on one here in the Etats Unis that... so far, is less than $20 grand total. 4 days left on the auction, however...    That said, is there anyone else that makes one in 1/72??? I've only ever seen or heard of the Monogram kit.

The only other options in 1/72 are the Lone Star resin parts conversion sets for both the single and twin seat birds but they're more expensive than most monogram kits are normally sold for.

Picked up the Tamiya 1/48 Bristol Beaufighter TF Mk.X in Sheffield today.

At the Farnborough show yesterday I picked up the new tool Airfix 1/72 Me.262. Looks very, very nice in the box. Thinking Hungarian as I've read somewhere that there were a dozen or so Hungarian pilots in conversion training at the end of the world.

Today arrived an Italeri IAI Kfir C7 I ordered, from an online store. Cheaper than ebay's offererings and also the only other one I found was on Heratage's second hand page, as they wanted £6 postage!! Italeri need their a***s kicking with this kit as it is identical to the C2, it only has the 2 wing pylons and a centre line fuel tank. The Hasegawa, C2 has all 4 wing pylons and a centre pylon. Looks like I am going to have to scratch build the other 6 pylons for this one too  .

For those interested, this one topped out at 30 pounds!!  (plus shipping) 

Still watching the US auction but it has doubled to $15.50 plus another $10 shipping. I imagine it will go higher with two days still to go.
