I did a bad thing.  I'm blaming Old Wombat...

But more importantly who did the other half blame ?  ;)

Just arrived, Heller Mirage F-1 CT, got it for a fiver  This may well get mate to the wings from an airfix mirage 2000C, as the it looks like there will be minimal work to do so. Should have the JMN's scratching their heads as when done, it will look like a 2000 with a pointy nose...ish

Oooh, I didn't know they made them! Of course, I do 99.99% of my shopping on ebay so I miss a lot of stuff because it simply never comes up for sale/auction. I did see some stuff by Pavla on there but folks wanted about $100 for 'em.

I like the Lancer, too. One cool thing it has going for it is that it actually put in work flying missions instead of being a stepping-stone or mere footnote on the way to Jugdom.

Shot a cheap (EUR 6,- plus EUR 5,- postage) ex Novo Shackleton MR.3 on ebay. The sprue pics did not look bad, and I'll stash this one away as a donor bank, anyway (mostly for the engines, props and maybe the wings, too).

Today arrived a Heller Etendard IV from Mr. PR19 himself. Inside the box was a surprise as there is a vacform kit of the same aircraft included. Never built a vacform and not sure I ever will either, so awaiting Mr Spackman's reply on that one.

I've got one of Beechnuts 1/72 P-51H kits, not too bad only it's not 1/72. More like 1/75 scale. I've abandoned the build and used a lot of the bits in other kitbashes I have going.

Well that's a bit of a let-down! I'll have to break out my measuring devices once it gets gets here to see if the Lancer is the same.

I'd never heard of Beechnut before yesterday. I had to have it... next available option(Pavla) was 4 times the cost and then shipping. Well, there was a vacuform kit, too (Rareplanes I think it was), but I don't touch those with a 10 foot pole. I'd like to tackle one one day just to see what it's like but I can already tell that I won't like it. All that trimming. I've trimmed out a vacu canopy once and just that was enough to put me off.
