Oh these are cool..

Been wheelin' and and dealin' with DFZ  and these two actually showed up yesterday but I'm always slow on the go opening mail. (I have some 1/700 P-38s that got here back the 1st week of August that haven't been opened, either.  :o ;D  )

ANYWAY. Got a good ol' BIS here with a canopy that won't fit like it was built by a @%$%@ monkey. Appologies all around and this one is NOT destined to be a whif.  ;D

I decided to take pictures from the inside of a filled, dirty fish tank for "artistic" reasons.

Killer and dig it! Can't go wrong with a Fishbed.. But this here.. .  see, I knew I was getting a MiG 17 but I didn't know I was getting the ~China Special~ which is glorious because I've been amassing a number of things to build up as Chinese birds so this is PERFECT.

That's a nice surprise, there. Also, the transfers come with stuff for a Somalian and a Burkina Faso MiG. (I've never even heard of this place .. I had to look it up. That's odd because I'm normally really good with geography and know what countries are where but uhhh....... this place could have been on Neptune for all I knew..)That's cool. Lesser known and African?! Sign me up... definitely a whif here and now I also finally have the transfers I need to make my Somalian F-22 Raptor.  ;D

Check out the colors and stuff, awesome:

Made in China

Good deal. I also have acquired some transfers to make a modern day USAF P-51D in 2010's "air suppuriority" camo. You know... all that grey and stuff and low vis roundels.  :o ;D

 Good to know they've been let out and have been shown their new home. Somalian Raptor? Yes! Almost as crazy as a Portuguese one. ;D

Y'all that broke?   ;D ;D ;D ;D

I just realized the MiG-21 also will help get another whif project on the road thanks to the Polish decals. The ol' Holestein cow camouflaged P-47 (Jug).

Why Polish? Because their roundels look a lot like the Purina logo... big in the agricultural scene for things like livestock feed.... sooo.. it kind of ties in to the whole "paint it like a cow" bit.

Extremely happy with the turn of events.

Hey, i could build my Mig-17 with Polish markings too... should we call them "Dairy" or "Beef" builds? ;D
I think Portugal isn't as broke as Somalia... but not even close to affording either F-22s or F-35s, that's for sure. :banghead:

The FROG Sea Vixen isn't too bad, it suffers a bit from quite thick moulding, and is apparently not that accurate, but this is WhiffWorld, right?

The best Sea Vixen I know of is the High Planes one.  It can be built either as an FAW.1 or an FAW.2.  It is a typical low pressure, limited run model but is well worth the effort to make it apparently.  I have one in my stash.  It is still available but sans decal from High Planes in Singapore.  Not a real problem cause you can pick up third party Decal sheets from Evilbay reasonably cheaply.

I got a High Planes one from Freightdog(?) at the Coventry show earlier this year. Flashy as hell, but yeah, it looks like it should build up nicely.

To be honest if you replace the blunt nose cone and underscale ejection seats with their resin replacements then the Cyberhobby(Dragon) is a nice kit and a dream to build.

No kits, but a pair of small computer cooling fans and PVC mesh dust filters - all whiffing fodder.

Yes, sort of. Found the wreck of a Dougram (anime) 1:48 scout hovercraft, maybe 30 years old, and it might see a revival in 1:72 scale for the Amphibian GB. There's still a lot of time until the deadline in January.

Well, bit the bullet just now, ordered from Sprue Brothers one Kittyhawk 1/48 F-35B plus a Furball canopy mask for it and a 1/72 set of Scale Aircraft Conversion F-35B u/c. They were having a 20% off, Black Friday promotion on top of whatever price reduction they already had.

Arrived yesterday ----
