Argentinian Ventura (ex French Navy )

"Los Pelequeros" of  Veinticinco de Mayo squadron ,Argentinian Guardacostas.

Revell 1:48 kit.  Bought last year (2016) in a sale for £10 a bit of a bargain IMHO.A big model that builds well with good fit throughout. The bomb bay doors are a bit tricky but shouldnt prove a problem to anyone that has built a couple of 48th kits.

Tamiya (mixed) acrylic paint through Iwata airbrush. Oils for weathering.

A big thank you to Kit Decals (aka PR19-Kit) for the anchor and Armada decals. The man is a Legend. (despite the rumour he has a large collection of Des O Connor albums)

Oh please!  :banghead:

But I could tell you a tale about Des, me and a big box of Black Magic chocs.....  ;D

The Ventura looks great.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Monster build :o but WOW ...fantastic finish. That panelling must've eaten up the kibuki ;D.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

It started off being a French  navy job. When I applied the varnish the grey was too green/blue. So whatif raised its ugly head...hence the change to a battered ,well used Argentinian jobby  :banghead:

Nice work, and the Atlantic style livery with the Hellcat mouth looks great.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

What is it Bob Ross says? "There are no mistakes, only happy accidents."  Paraphrasing but I believe that's pretty close.

I, for one, am glad your paint got "messed up" so we could see this instead.    ;D  Looks fantastic to me.

I have one of these in 1/72 , the one with the sea monster around the roof turret...  the sea monster transfer, however, is not correct... missing a couple arms, so I'm thinking of whiffing it up and now I'm more inspired than ever.
