Re the bombs, the Russians actually cleared the Mi-24 to drop bombs from it's pylons, so your thermite bombs are perfectly credible.

I had used Ipiccy once before and once I got the hang of it (didn't take long, very user friendly) I found it pretty easy to correct things. My poor camera just doesn't know what to do sometimes so I get things like what I had.  Hard to even tell the blue was blue, etc.

If all goes as planned I'll take more pics anyway, outside, sans the red shirt, and go from there. I took the time to paint the blue on there and by god I want to see it!

I've always wanted to see a brightly colored Apache so this was a happy coincidence. I also have plans to make a full on civilian version with bright colors and zero armament.  I'd turn the nose smooth if I could and put yellow, red, and blue stripes (or something) over white with a nice big N number...

The thicker canopy frames make her look a proper Soviet chooper alright. The harsh white also suits Apache well.

Nice touch with the Red Banner background - and the surface really looks like frozen-over lake or sea?

Thanks, bro!! Glad you like it and stopped by.  Them bombs are weird, I went with a derivative of thermite called "thermate" that acts quicker or some such stuff than the regular stuff. I didn't like the rocket pods and also they looked like bunk so I had to come up with something. Considering the area of operation I was like, "why not something that melts the piss out of ice so that we can destroy ice roads and runways."  Painted 'em blue and the rest was history. 

Having been summonsed I took the time to stroll back through and look at things...   man...   what fun this was. I should do another helo soon. This was so fun because BRIGHT Apache! I've always wanted to see one and thanks to winding up here I finally got to.
