Ye Gods..what will I have to sacrifice in my personal life to afford all the TSR-2s I need? Hmmm...anyone wanna rent a kid or two....or perhaps a belly dancing nurse??? Nah..I suppose I better keep her on, shes a good cook and all....*Sighhhhh...sacrifices sacrifices.....
Like Supertom said..we need to support this...BIG time....I assuredly plan to....
Now...all we need are the Rivet Counters letting us know what's wrong with the kits so as to make it unbuildable....
HEY!
How about some intrepid figure maker doing a 1/72 scale Dennis Wilson figure to go with it...along with a Diefenbaker figure for the Arrow???
I've always wanted to do a figure of Wilson on the gunnery range where one of the TSR-2s wound up...with HIM as the target!!!
Gee..I can see a couple 617 Sqdn Phoenixes doing a run on the main runway in the Falklands....

If I could find some AETE decals, it would look good in it!

IT'S HAPPENING!!!!![/size]

How many will I add to the pile? 2? Nah, want one for Operation Corporate. 3? Nah, want an updated version for the 90's. 4? Nah, want...

Oh I could go on for hours...

I think our boxart is a better illustration of the TSR 2 but the new one has two major advantages:

1. It's a proper painting rather than an electronically doctored and much enlarged photo.

2. It's the REAL THING already!  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  B)

If the kit comes out as good as the new Spitifre Vc bits are said to be then us Phoenix fans will cock-a-hoop.  ^_^

Hehe, let me just say there was much rejoicing on the What If stand at Telford.  And everybody when first told about it said "its not another wind up is it?"  :P

I spent most of the day trying to think of what was in my decal stash and how it could be applied to a TSR2.

Airfix have already spoken to (TSR2)Joe and he's proofing their plans    Word on the street (ie Geoff says) is that Hannants have already ordered the first 1000 off the production run  :)

Oh, and Jeffry, regarding it in 1/48, have you seen that size of that thing?  Even in 1/72 it is a damn big plane - in fact it would be very easy to think a 72nd kit was actually 48th unless you knew your subject.

In 1/72 its cheaper and smaller so we can buy em by the bucketload and churn em out!

Big beast in 1:48, true enough but, believe me, I'll GLADLY make shelf room for my Dynavector TSR-2 (once I get up the nerve to attempt it)!!!

Just a matter of picking a scheme...

Hey babies, I believe Trevor preferred 1/48th but was told 1/72nd was a more realistic seller. Quite right too. I model almost totally in 1/48th, but 1/72nd  is far more sensible for such a big aircraft. I'll get a few!!
