What a beauty. Amazing how much that cockpit colour changes the look of her. The camo is great especially on the drop tanks.

You know, I think you nailed an aspect of this one that I couldn't quite put my finger on.. the whole "cockpit" situation with that Soviet "Calm-Down-Comrade" blue. It does make one hell of a focal point and looks pretty neat.

One thing I don't get about this one, however, is the nose/radome. It wasn't quite the same diameter as the fuselage (casting mistake) but also, the -shape- looks wrong to me.. I triple checked and then some the instructions.  The alignment pins and slots and everything checked out. I glued it exactly as was intended.  With my limited research I think I remember concluding that this nose was on the Navy craft or something?? And the longer nose on USAF?  I dunno, but it this nose looks weird to me.
