The Wooksta!

Film extra found hidden in a few of the long shot aerial fight scenes.

Photo: Rob Sullivan

Basically, a surviving PR21 used in the film.  Another of my Plan Spits and another in a small collection of whiffs from that film.

Airfix PR19 fuselage with home cast resin wing, supercharger intake and radiators.  Aeroteam 21 u/c with Airfix 22 doors and Sword wheels.  Decals spares box and Xtradecal.

Don't look underneath!  Forgot to fix the ejection chutes, so perhaps it's a pressurised FR21 rather than a proper PR21?  That's my excuse anyway!

That would have surprised the Luftwaffe back in 1940.  ;D

It looks pretty darn good.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Far to subtle for me :
By not seeing/Ignoring the obvious late wing shape,
I'd already decided it was one of the PR.19's that were used by the BBMF,
Very nice  and I like the tidy paintwork.

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

The Wooksta!

There was at least one PR19 used during the filming and I have spotted it during the last main battle scene, but blink and you'll miss it.

Great build.  the subtleties of which would have completely escaped me if you hadn't explained.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Tell me about it. One of the reasons I like the Tyneside show so much

Nice one Lee
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
