 Hello from the Land of the Long White Cloud, everyone.

Yep, I'm still here and still modelling and just to prove I have forgotten how to 'WhIf', this has just hit my bench this morning.

Will be a quick build, not really worth taking & posting too many photographs, painting tho'... that will be 'fun' and after all isn't that the main reason we do this ??

More very soon, please stay tuned.

What scale Ian, 1/72 or 1/48 ? (as if I couldn't guess  ;D)

Built the 1/72 kit, enjoyable build.

As for the Land of the Long White Cloud. I see it is just the part of the mega continent of Zealandia that sticks above water ?

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Yeah you guessed right, 1:48 for me !! - as for Zealandia, strikes me as one of those 'slow news day" stories... regardless the media here will run it for weeks...

...because b*gg*r-all else ever happens in NZ  ;)

Looks to me like Zealandia is actually part of Australia...

Some progress:

AK 'Xtreme Metal' Aluminium & Stainless Steel with Alclad Duralumin sprayed over Tamiya acrylic Glossy Black base-coat. Just a little touching-up needed on the nose-wheel bay and that's the undersides done. Next I'll mask the canopy and start on the top-side camo.

Very metallic Ian, and well up to your usual standards.

I think some one is trying to start a fight! :o

The NMF looks awesome! Is that just paint or some form of alchemy?

Nahh, I don't do Alchemy anymore, they burn folks for that around here (right Zac ). Just a little experience mixed with good paints and a MA-HOOO-SIVE amount of good luck.

Thanks folks, more soon, stay tuned.

Paint happened today...

Tamiya 'Khaki' plus Blu-Tack sausages.

Tamiya 'Dark Green' plus the aforementioned sausages.

...and now, no sausages !!

After I took these pics, I tidied-up some of the pattern where I wasn't too happy with the result and later-on brush painted two coats of Johnsons Klear. I'll likely brush another coat on tomorrow morning so the finish is ready for 'stickers'. Thanks for taking the time to look and/or comment.

ALL Ian's modelling is alchemy!  ;D

IME getting consistently good results from Alclad isn't alchemy but witchcraft.
This looks nicely shiny underneath and the top looks promising.
