This has made me get out the Sea Hawk I've had in the drawer of doom for far too many years. Found all the parts now I have to look for some usable decals.

Airfix?
Do yourself a flavour and instead of being bone idle like me make yourself some more scale thickness UC doors.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

It's been so long ago I've forgotten what manufacturer it was. Replacing the kit doors are on the to do list to finish this one. The kit doors are like armor plate. They have to go.
I was trying to fit a better seat so I have to find the metal one I bought.
Of course the instructions are long gone so I'm relying on actual aircraft photos for final assembly.

This is a kit that I would love to see Airfix update. It deserves it.

Hear hear. It always struck me as a very attractive aircraft and I was very jealous of my mate who had one.

Yes indeed, a Sea Hawk done to Airfix's current magnificent standard would really be something.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

It would be. I built the MPM/SH one and it's one of their more basic kits
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Is there one anywhere to measure?

Hell yes, quite a few. The RN Historical Flight even has one that flies!

Did you know that one of our members has a website for this...?  http://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.uk/seahawk/survivors.php
He also wrote a very good book about the TSR.2   ;)

Or side-by-side ...

That's VERY different, and typically Hawker-Siddley too.
