I had two items from the Amusing Hobby guy, zhiguo914 in my basket. They've both been removed from ebay and zhiguo914 is no longer a registered user.

There are four negative feedbacks on the account, all from the past month:

'conman sends cheap furry toys instead of plastic kits bending ebay rules AVOID'
'AVOID like the plague, item received was a tacky teddy instead of a model kit'
'this seller gave me som1 elses tracking number and doesn't respond to messages'
'No tracking number, to respond to emails, I do not recommend crook from China'

There are only three positive comments in the same period, and one of those is a duplicate of the third one above, so it looks like the guy hit the wrong button by mistake.

Doesn't look good guys - sorry... :-\

I have to apologise.  I didn't know this bloke in China was a crook.  I thought it was too good to be true.  EvilBay doesn't seem to want to refund my PayPal transaction either at the moment.   I've opened a resolution with them.   Have to see what happens.     :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Not your fault: as my other Chinese transaction shows, some of these folk are perfectly decent traders.

Of course they are.  It's just this one isn't.   :banghead: :banghead:

I have a message from evil-bay informing me they have removed an item I purchased and providing a link to start the ball rolling if it doesn't arrive.  No mention of what to do if I get a teddy bear instead of a T56.
Of course, if its sent without tracking there is no way the sender or evil-bay will know if any thing has arrived.  Or was even sent...
However, just because you don't have to sign for a parcel don't assume it wasn't tracked by the sender (in Australia anyway - it might be different overseas).

No need to beat yourself up over this. It was quite reasonable to assume that someone was selling surplus stock at a low price and none of us have yet received, or not, items from the seller. Besides, if we don't receive what we ordered the beating up will happen when any of us met you at a show

Well there is the age old Adage that "if an offers to good to be true it usual is", yes this trader had a good history but none seemed related to Model Kits and the stuff on offer was all new stock at unbelievably low prices unlike similar mainstream traders based in China so I declined to place an order myself although tempted.

I suggest you all start the process running with eBay and PayPal to get your refunds, or even your credit card company if forced to use that option when trying to process the order.

Sorry guys it does happen, sometimes the offers are genuine and you can strike gold, but other times alas not  :banghead:

I didn't realise until recently but it's the same in the UK

You are not responsible for our actions Brian.
I assumed the kits had come out of the back door of the Chinese factory where they were made.  Probably stolen but possibly rejects.
If I get a teddy this will be the first time in 20 years of evil-baying that i've been done.  Not a bad run.

I've been done a couple of times, although I got my cash back eventually. The highest value one was a freezer from a terminally disorganised clearance warehouse type place in Manchester, where the guy running the Ebay shop and the guy running the warehouse wern't on speaking terms because the former was selling stock the latter hadn't got...

My only bad run-in with the Far East was when I ordered a fairly big (1/24th) resin figure from an outfit in Hong Kong and they 'packed' it by wrapping it in bubble-wrap and stuffing it in a plain envelope: it arrived with two broken legs. It was perfectly fixable so I kept it, gave them a rocket for bad packing and left neutral feedback. They then kept aggressively trying to threaten/bribe me into changing the feedback, to the point where I had to make a formal complaint about them to Ebay to get them off my back.

That approach is SO stupid. If they'd have just packed it properly in the first place they'd have had no problems!

I sold some Matchbox Models of Yesteryear last year, and one guy 'bought' six of them and didn't pay for over three weeks. Then HE complained to ebay about me re-posting them! Ruddy nerve!  :banghead: :banghead:
