looking to build what if carriers for a two and a half year old Grandson.

The story is that the RN looking for a stop gap carrier to give them experiance of big carriers again do a swop with the US Navy and transfer two of the RN Invincible carriers, for use by USMC, for a rebuilt small US carrier, until the arrival of the QE2 carriers and the Govenment to decide which aircraft recovery system to use....hense a mixed bag of ski ramp and electromagnetic launch, with arrester wire recovery.......

The pic's not showing for me I'm afraid.

I think Flickr needs some special tweak to show pics elsewhere.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

No I have tried several ways...I give up...having another go....this one is the mock layout ready for workshop. The flight deck is modified wider, allowing a 2 degrees angle deck, and ski jump forward.

Alternative history bit.....continued....
The RN use what's left of the Harriers...the rest having been sold off the the USMC for spares. But also the RAF have several Tornado aircraft, modified for carrier use during the Middle East conflicts...known as Cyclone, Their is only a small flight of these aircraft but give the UK bomber strike capability, and incerept role.

Reality is that this is for a small child, a cheap £1 toy from a charity shop....excuse the scale of aircraft...he is only 2 1/2 easier to handle. https://flic.kr/p/SWYwWe
There is another carrier (50p same shop) which is to become a UN mercy ship with helicopters...more of that later but gives a balance for No1 Grandson who is rapidly approaching 3 years old and learning. https://flic.kr/p/SyuY21

Gondor

There should be a thread somewhere that explains how to post images from sites such as flicker. I know it can be done as Dizzyfugu posts pictures from his flicker account.
