And  . . .  speaking of flying boats . . .  been rolling around the possibility of kitbashing an airfix PBY hull with the airfix B-24.  Your build here reminded me of that   Looking forward to more of the Grebe.
Best regards,
Kem

Oooh, interesting idea.  You'd use the Lib wings I hope.

Hi Fred,
Yes, but I was thinking of opening up the PBY hull on the topside to "drop" the Liberator down into it . . . . is that whacked out or what?  :o
Best regards,
Kem

Whacked?  How else would you do it?  That seems a completely sensible thing to do.  I can't wait to see it.
Liberator or Privateer tail and are you going to retain all the turrets?

Yep, as soon as I can find said PBY hull, the knife comes out  ;)  And this wasn't intended to hijack the thread either, sorry  :-\  Plus thank you to Captain Canada for your kind nomination of the poor old Rotodyne for the Whiffies . . . . I had no idea

Old Wombat

Thanks, Cap!

No prob's, Kem. We're all Brothers in Whiffery, here, & thread drift is to be expected - it's all part of the idea-bouncing aspect & it's good to know you've inspired others.

Besides, it keeps the thread near the top of the forum & easier to find when I finally do get around to posting something. ;) ;D

lol good point ! It's defo easy to forget a thread, either entirely, or where you had found it. Side effect of the aging forum visiting modeler. Or glue fumes

Third colour down & a sneak-peek of the paint scheme.

Why I keep on punishing myself with those 4 colours, I'll never know!

My oh my, very impressive
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
