Can I add an OR9001 to my request for a P1128...

Hi there

I saw your post and just wanted to let you know that the RAE. OR.9001 'space fighter' is currently available on the Spot On Designs website.

https://spotondesigns.info/product/rae-or-9001-space-plane-complete-resin-kit

Like the Armstrong Whitworth 'Pyramid', it's a limited edition, 72 scale resin kit and stocks are running low.  It is part of our range of space plane limited run releases (20-25 max) so if you haven't got one yet, it might be worthwhile picking one up while they are still available.

The P.1128 'huntsman' should be in stock shortly, I will let you know when it is available for purchase.

I hope this information helps, if there is anything else I can help you with, please PM me or email resins@spotondesigns.info

Regards

Hi Folks,

Just a heads up that stocks of the Armstrong Whitworth Pyramid and RAE. OR.9001 'space fighter' 72 scale resin kits are running low with no plans for reissue in the foreseeable future.

The kits form part of a range of our 'Brits in spaace' range and will be replaced with new releases, next up being Terrence Nonweiler's 'Wedge', which was the original concept leading to AW. Pyramid.

To purchase your kits please visit

Hi Folks,

I just wanted to let you know that I have started to list a small number of resin 'parts' available at Spot On Designs.

The 'Odds and SOD's range covers mainly smaller conversions and updated parts such as radomes, engines, exhausts, etc.

At present the range is quite limited as it is just being set up but it will be expanding over the next few weeks and months.

Hello Folks,

Just to keep you posted on this range - the latest addition to the Spot On Designs, UK. Space Programme range, a very limited edition release of  Terence Nonweiler's 'Wedge' concept from 1958, is now available.

The 'Wedge' was the predecessor to Nonweiler's 'waverider concept  leading to the Armstrong Whitworth 'Pyramid (released earlier in 2018)

The 'Wedge' and its predecessor, the Armstrong Whitworth 'Pyramid, can be found by visiting...
https://spotondesigns.info/product-category/complete-resin-kit/space-planes

The Pyramid and RAE.OR.9001 are really low in stock and like the 'Wedge' will not be recast in the forseeable future, if you are interested in purchasing all three as part of the continuing UK Space Plane programme (future releases will be announced shortly), please PM me for a discount code.

In addition to this, a decal sheet will shortly be available for the Pyramid and RAE. OR.9001.  I'll keep you posted on this via my Chickadeecals board.

Regards
Karen

Hi Lee, the Fairey FD.3 is back on the schedule for future release, its another of the masters requiring tweaking (dusting) and recasting (along with such goodies as the BP. P.132 and Westland 'jet bomber')
The intention is to pace the kit releases over coming months adding examples to the various ranges as they are produced

heres hoping there will be a few items of possible interest coming down the line soon

cheers, Joe

Do you plan any more Pyramid variants?  Two I know of are a rounded off version and a later more refined version with a blunted nose and the top of the pyramid 'chopped'.

A few suggestions for conversion kits for spaceplanes, how about the X-15B, ST-38 and NF-104?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I like these.

SInce it already seems to be sold out, I'd love to see another run of the Predator.

What Mr. Mossie just said.  Space Planes are cool. Except during re-entry.  X-15C, X-15 Delta?

The Wooksta!

I'm more into propellery things than hairdriers, TBH.  I'd just like one to sit next to an FD2.

Or possibly an FD3.

Hello again chaps!

Just a wee note to let you know that we have some new additions to the Odds and Sods range on the website.

BN. Islander AEW nose
Gemini and Mercury capsules
Former F-27 MPA Radome

Numbers are limited on all items, so it's worth ordering sooner rather than later.

Many thanks

Suggestions:

1. You need some more photos up on your site and some longer descriptions to go with them. Nobody's going to buy a part they've never heard of that they can't see and can't find any information about.

2. Since you're doing the AEW Islander/Defender nose (ordered one ), you could do some other bits that go with it:

a. The AEW prototype was based on a BN-2T Turbo-Islander airframe with Allison C250 turboprop engines, so why not do an engine conversion for the Airfix kit? That should be a decent seller even to non-whiffers.

b. The AEW machine had an gas-turbine auxiliary power unit (I think) in a pod on the lower right-hand side of the rear cabin. This should be relatively easy to make and would let you sell a complete AEW Defender conversion kit.

c. You could do the CASTOR prototype nose, with the wide, flat radome for ground-surveillance radar. Again, bundled with the turboprops, this would make a complete conversion set.

d. Britten-Norman have displayed (and sold, I think) a Defender 4000 prototype with an LLTV turret on the nose, a disc-shaped belly radome, and big ESM pods on the wing that rather resmble those on the Nimrod MR.2. Bundle the turboprops etc, etc...

Note that Omega Models have done all these, but as full resin kits, not conversions, with a price to match...
