Combat Kits

This is interesting: a 1/72nd scale all-resin BAe-146-100 for sale via Ebay from a manufacturer called 'Combat Kits'. From what I can see, it's not a rip-off of the Welsh Models one, which has a vac-form fuselage and in any case represents the longer -200 version.

That's the Dave Little who shares Colin's stand who used to import those unusual resin kits from Brazil and Japan and did the Weather Hercules conversion. The stiry of the kit can probably be found on Colin's Freightdog  section which tracked its development until its release last year at SMW. It was first thought to be a Mach 2 kit produced for Dave, but I think he opted with Colin's master maker to produce a decent resin kit as it was cheaper and more accurate.
He stopped his shop so as to invest in new items and uses eBay as his outlet as well as the odd show such as Bolton or others with Colin.

No mastered in the UK, resin casting done in the Czech republic from what I recall, think its the same guy that mastered the new EAP Freightdog issued, Anigrand's not been used for some time I think the 1154's were the last ones mastered and produced in Hong Kong, the revamped SR177 was refined and produced in Europe after the first Anigrand production. (Were still awaiting on the P1154 to get the same treatment)

If it's mastered by Paul Lucas it'll be perfect. The guy's a genius and needs to be cloned before he retires.

Colin's posted up on his Freightdog Facebook page that Dave Little of Combat Kits who shares Colin's stand at the show has new boxing's of the BAE 146 in 72nd scale. They are two series 100 aircraft, a BAE own and ETPS option, the STA with refuelling probe and blanks for windows in the camo scheme and finally he has the 200 series in the RAF transport scheme as used in Afghanistan. Price may be about the £130

The Welsh Models one is almost as expensive GBP 121 (GBP 108 for me though). Seeing the real ones at YYC really make me want to fork out and get a 1/72 scale one, just love the aircraft ----

What we need is Big Plane Kits to do one, their 1/72 737's are just under US$100
