Right here's the rules for this years One Week Build. Same as usual so there shouldn''t be a problem.

Chris

1.  Group Build runs from 00.01 Saturday 27th May 2017 to 24:00 Sunday 4th June 2017 (all times GMT).

2)  Any subject, any scale - but must be a what if.  Profiles and stories also eligible.

3)  You may build, draw or write as many entries as you like (good luck!).  The posting of in-progress pictures is encouraged as always.  Back stories - however long or short - win extra points.  Well OK they don't but they're always nice to see.

4)  "Preparation" work is allowed prior to the start of the GB - this includes the cutting out and cleaning up of parts, even printing your own decals (!), but anything involving paint or glue is not allowed.

5)  Part-started models are not allowed - we are relying on the honour of our membership to uphold this rule.
6) Shhhhhhhhh, never mention Rule 6.

7)  Moderator – Kitbasher
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

That depends on which timezone you are in.

And I lose a good chunk of time tonight to a diamond wedding do...

A touch of clarification, for yours truly....   24:00 (midnight) of the 4th, GMT, translates to 7PM CST this evening (my time) which would be a mere 12 hours away.  Or, are we saying Midnight Monday morning, or in other words, the last minute of Sunday?

Yes the deadline is 24:00 GMT Sunday 4th June 2017, more correctly 2359 GMT 4 June 2017 - a minute to Monday

ATC, ship and other logs don't run to '2400' - the day's watch closes at 2359 and reopens 0001.  I'll have a word with Mr Edwards!

So I'm in London and its 1330 BST (1230 GMT/UTC) as I write.  wherever you are in the world you've just over 36 hours.

Awesome!! Thanks! . I'm trying to paint today but it's 100% humidity so the drying time is extended.  Should be perfect amount of time.

It's 2016 GMT/UTC right now, so just under 4 hours left, so get painting and decalling done!

And folks - get pics of your finished build/drawing on the completed builds thread ASAP, please!!

I'll lock the built thread tomorrow at some point and it'll either be Tuesday or Wednesday when I launch the vote.

As I opined in some other threads, I think we should go with the "where you are" time zone for all group builds.  We all know what time it is where we live, but figuring out time zones (not to mention daylight savings time here in the USA) just confuses things.  So if we all start at 0001 on the first day of the build, and end at 2359 where we are, we all have the same amount of time.  Our fellow Whiffers in the Chatham Islands, Tonga and Guam etc. may get to start before the rest of us, but they also must be done before the rest of us.

Good build- enjoyed seeing all the entires- and lots of ships!

Somewhere there is a line of date change, if I am not wrong. So if I start a build on one side of it, and then move "backward" to the other side, I'll gain a day more.  ;D
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Can I get a two week extension?
;D ;D

There has been some fantastic work done for this GB.  I honestly don't know how some of you did it in the time.
Good work everyone.

Now, what's next?

If I'm honest that's what I'd intended. Just didn't make it clear enough at all. Apologies.

It doesn't really matter with most of the 3 month GB's but with this one it does.
