This is one more unusual project...
Today some WW2-1946, with a soviet built robot tank crewed by polish combatants !

The model (scale between 1/30-1/35) is a scratch card/paper made by a friend (still the same pal !) using some parts of papermodels from Eastern Countries.
Yes, you dont dream : its a paper model (with some metal parts for handles and few other bits... )
He gave me "the finish side" as i am more seasoned in that matter.
So i added personnally all the weathering : scratches, mud, dust, oil and so on... According to the " new fashion "using MIG and AK products for pigments, panel lines, rain marks...
I also added 2 figures from the DUST universe, which needed some repainting.
And the result is here !
The model will be on exhibition next week in le musée des blindés de Saumur in France (Come on ! Come on ! ) for the annual model kit competition... Category "what-if", of course ! ;)

Cool, I like it a lot.  The details like the spare "toes" are neat, as well as the hull shape.

Hard to believe that it is a paper model, I find it simply awesome (being a mecha fan myself).

Now that works...so many don't. Very Shirow    SUPERB!!

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Well... No price in Saumur last week in a what if category of a competition specialised in tanks... :o
The french judges were definitely blind and airvoid-minded about what-if sense... Only obsessed by l'esprit cocardier or svastikas... ;D
So here is the tank as exposed, with a little base and some photos of the real glorious crew at the forefront <_<

And thanks a lot for all your comments ! ;)

Ah, the sad fate of whiffers! A shame that your excellent work was not recognized.
But creativity has always been the bane of the establishment...

Vive (whif?) la révolution!  ;)

A bummer about the competition but......glad you brought us the glorious pictures!! Man, this is so cool... the photos you have there sure are nice and add to the overall presentation, for sure.  Still loving the victrola  ;D ;D ;D

It's not about the winning.  It's about subverting the dominant paradigm.

If you caused just one otherwise "normal" modeller to even think about whiffing then you have had a small victory.

That's a shame, deserving of a ribbon I would have thought.

Saumur ? Near the Tank Museum ?

Not surprising. I'm sure it got lots of looks from 'regular' people tho !
