Yeah, I'm finally done.  I think that's the quickest I've built a model in 20 yrs.

To hedge their bets against the failure of the MiG-29, MiG created the ultimate version of the MiG-23.  MiG switched to fixed wings, revised the intakes for better performance and integrated the latest air-to-air weaponry in a bid to keep the MiG-23 competitive.

Work on the MiG-23MLGD and the MiG-29 proceeded concurrently with the MiG-23MLGD sharing most of the MiG-29 weapons systems and avionics. Early in 1978 a fly off occurred between the two types. While the MiG-23MLGD was found to have very similar performance it was felt that it was at the end of the line in regards to upgrades while the MiG-29 had considerable growth potential.

Regardless 48 Mig-23MLGDs were produced before production switched over to the MiG-29.

Anyway, here are the pics.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I'm tagging this one as the build to beat... just wow.  :-X
