I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Ooooh, 'Green Arrows'?  ;)

Would suit it if it was left like this...

I was referring to the 1/48 Spit 22/24

That scheme is going to look fantastic and the model looks a winner

I'd like to build one of those in 1/48, just have to research which kit is best so i can put it on my to buy list.

Liking it so far.

Well, my lady wanted to go out to do  some shopping and requested my carrier services(as usual  ), so that took up most of the morning, let's see if i can get it masked this afternoon...

Thank you, Chris! I'm almost done with the last bit of masking before the next color goes on, hoping to get it done today... might even have time for a gloss coat and start putting the markings on...

Oh... that's looking very sharp. VERY sharp indeed. I have another Gnat in the stash, so I'm watching this one carefully.
Thanks!

Speaking of sharp, if i thought it took a long time to mask for the green, masking for the X-7 was a tremendous PITA as there were so many bits to cover... and this is a 1/72 Gnat!! :banghead:
Anyway, i got it done but no gloss coat tonight, i preferred to wait for the paint to dry up properly before attempting any more masking and just handling the model with sweaty hands...
After all the masks were removed, i was very happy with the result as this build is a first for me in more than one aspect.

So, this is how it looked when i started taking off the masks...

And this is how it's looking right now...

Ok, tomorrow morning i'll paint the remaining parts and get a gloss coat on it so i can move on to decals after lunch...

Oh yeah, that's coming along brilliantly.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

PR19_Kit

That's looking terrific already.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Is it getting sponsor logos?  An oil company perhaps?

Thank you, gentlemen! I admit i'm rather chuffed with it myself, a first for me in this type of scheme and colors. Now, the markings... It will be a PoAF bird, ever seen the "Asas de Portugal" Tweety bird?
I'm working on it right now, and noticed that there were a details i'd forgotten about so i'm masking for the final paint session to paint the anti-glare panel and a bit more of red...

loupgarou

Beautiful masking and painting job. Impressive!
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

AXU

It will look very good

DogfighterZen

Glad you like it, guys, thank you!
Obviously, i didn't get to do things as i wanted and i'm only starting on decals now. I've painted the rest of the details and gave it a good gloss coat but now, a good search through the decal spares bag to find proper numbers for the serials...

So, as i was expecting, tomorrow i'll be racing against time...

I hadn't.  I have now.
I thought it looked a bit like this.
