I got a free paint stirrer/ paint shakers in a recent order from AK (they really should be paying me for the free advertising)

I thought it was just a cheap toy but I tried it and it's made a positive difference in my airbrushing. I pour the paint and thinner into the airbrush cup, run the mixer and the paint gets mixed properly, even the very pigment dense AK 3rd Gen acrylics, which can be a pain to mix and clean.

That looks like something a dentist would use  ;)

Seriously, looks good and it was a freebie

One of the traders (Jadlam I think) had the whole AK Real Colours pens range on sale at SMW, plus some sprues for people to "try before buying". They were £50 odd, reduced from £60 for the complete set. Sold out by lunchtime  ;D

Looking to try and pick some up, when they come back in stock.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I just got a couple of leather punch sets;
1.5 to 4mm and 5 to 8mm.
They should work for sheet up to 1mm or so.
Having had difficulties over the years, I made sure these were the type with removeable punches, so I can push the discs back out through the front end.

And a set of 1mm to 2.5mm hole drilling/measuring rulers.

Carried aboard a VERY slow boat from Japan, my pukka paint bottle cap removal tool kit arrived today. That's the one Fred Zenrat had, and it's actually made by the Gunze Zangayo people under their 'Mr.' label as it's called a 'Mr. Cap Opener with bottle cap Grip'.  ;D

It not only fits their 10 ml and 18 ml bottle caps, but hidden underneath the tool is a slot to lever open this bottles with a cross bar lid too.

Not that I've got any of those...............
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Rheged

After today's visit to the dentist,  a slack handful of elderly steel dental probes etc  that would otherwise have been thrown away.   Some will go to Rheged Major (No. 1 son)  for his archaeologist's tool box; the rest to be shared between Rheged Minor and I for modelling purposes.

After a session at the bench cutting plastic to make 6 identical ammo boxes manually (that is to say, once a year) BNA sent me an e-mail telling me they had these in stock.  So I bought one.

After assembling it I made one test chop and it worked good.

I also got one of these after seeing an example in a pic of someone's bench.  Possibly Brians.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

For those of you with a 3D printer, this Tamiya two bottle holder works great. I printed it in PLA a few years ago and it's still in good shape. It's prevented a few spills.

Thanks for that, Frank - I can see one or two coming my way...
