Interesting. It's available in Germany, too, but quite expensive. I might give it a try, though, I like the pipette applcator.

I've not tried the applicator, just use small amounts on the tip of an old No 11 scalpel blade.

One thing I've found is not to leave the tube's cap off as it dries very quickly.

It will rejuvenate with water. I have some in the original style packaging and it was
getting very stiff and dried out under the cap. Dug out the dried plug, used a syringe
to inject some water, carefully massaged the tube to work the water through, left it
overnight, gave it another massage and it was back to its former self.

I agree with Fred that it appears to be much the same stuff as the medium body
acrylic modelling pastes. A lot of today's "modeller's" weathering stuff - oil paints,
pigment powders, washes etc. are just standard artist's stuff in bespoke packaging.
Despite what MiG, AK, Uschi etc. like to claim.

Heck, if someone wanted to they could contact the same bulk manufacturers and
order a "What-If?" labelled line of "specialized finishing products".
;D

Thanks Jon.

Off work sick today so decided to put the stand I recently received together

With nothing on it, two of the four available short arms front and rear with two of the long arms to the sides. there are various attachments to allow setting biplanes correctly, not going to be used very often, and a couple of spare items as well.

And here is my AH-56 sitting comfortably on top of the stand. The longer arms look as if they should keep Kit happy. The parts the AH-56 is sitting on can easily be swapped with the parts to the side so if I was working on something with a longer fuselage than wing span, such as a TSR2, it is easy to swap them around with the knurled nuts provided.

Very happy with it, although I intend to buy some draft excluder for windows rather than use the provided foam for the top of the rests.

This is a serves myself right purchase.

From Amazon

A pack of Ten 0.3mm drill bits. I put a bit too much pressure on my previous bit in a sideways direction and at that size......... ping with me keeping the hold of the hand drill and the thin part of the drill launched somewhere  :banghead:

Quite cheap for the pack of ten, might end up buying similar quantities if I break a different size.

I use 0.5mm drills when I wire 1/25 car engines and I get through them at a rate of knots.
Quite a few of my model engines rattle because they have a snapped off drill bit inside them.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Hm, yes. Don't ask me how I know that as well...............:(

I just got an Omnifixo from Sweden. The clamps are magnetized and stick well to the small metal plate. I bought it mainly for my electronics project, but the sturdy base and easy to use angled/parallel clips should be useful in modelling as well.

Tidying out the garage of my late mum's house, I found a small collection of dentist's tools that my late dad had used for detailed modelling work.  Not sure yet how they will be used, but I'm sure they will be!!

I have many drill bits and tools left over from my Mom's dental lab. The one item from her lab that I use daily is a Bard-Parker Surgical Blade Handle with a Havel surgical blade. The handle is comfortable and the blades last forever - and they're extremely sharp. A dull blade is about as sharp as a new X-Acto blade (but so is a ripe banana).

My Mom would occasionally give me some extra money to run down to the local hobby shop and buy a model. She would use the sprues to hold the teeth she was working on - much, much cheaper than the dental equivalent 9which was also made from styrene)
