As part one was dedicated to the aviation aspect, part two is for the terrestrial side of things.

A couple of views of the Kunovice airport fire brigade in action:

Some historical military vehicles and gear:

A bit of aviation archaeology:

A few general pictures of the event to give you some atmosphere for it:

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

No problem, this is the Czech wine country. Good wine also comes at a pretty agreeable price in these parts.

Excellent pics there, it looks pretty much like a low key UK airshow except most of the aircraft on show are Eastern Block stuff (what a surprise....  ;D)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Thanks.

I have to say that the more I attend the larger more organised airshow type events, the more I appreciate these smaller low key ones.

I find crowds have better etiquette at smaller shows and my family history of high blood pressure thanks them immensely for that.

Most of the action that happens at smaller events happens low enough and close enough that you don't see too many folks with telephoto lenses so big and heavy they could be classed as blunt weapons. More modest lenses seem to get the job done just fine at most smaller events.

You can also get some pretty interesting participants at the smaller shows that likely wouldn't get a place at the bigger ones.

Amen to that! I often wonder why these characters deem it necessary to photograph the fourth rivet along from the canopy bow in high detail as the aircraft passes by at 450 kts plus. That's surely the only need for a 1000 mm lens at normal show flypast distances.  ;)

Those soooooper loooooong lenses are not for photographic reasons but to compensate... ;D

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Very true. Same thing applies to most spectator/participator events
