You forgot the "height" in your img box (a similar %age reduction to the width is how I work it (when necessary)).

Although, having looked at your previous posts, you don't seem to need it ... Odd.

Ok. So I'm calling Jiro's birdplane "done."  I had a little trouble with the masking around the cockpit... which started to escalate as I tried to "fix" it.  After that experience I decided to leave the wheels well enough alone, even though they're a bit off as well.

They can't all be perfect... right?

I also finished off the stand for the Nausicaa Mehve glider...

Next up is to finish the submarine.

Whoops! I went back and fixed the post... guess that's what happens when you post something as your wife is calling you for dinner and you don't have time to preview...

All-in-all I'm pretty happy with the bird plane.  I hate that feeling when you pull back the masking tape and find all the spots you missed... sigh.
Thanks!

very beautiful !
even the stand is lovely  ;D

Thanks guys!  Since the concept is a kind of "mini museum on my shelf", I like to spend some time making the stands fit as well.

I'm super-stoked that the next GB will be float-planes, since I can just carry right on with the Studio Ghibli vibe and focus on SOME of the planes of Porco Rosso, just as I'd planned to anyway.  I've already asked for a ruling on whether or not my "just barely started" Savoia S.21 can be included or not.  Regardless, I've got plans for a whole bunch of planes.

To that end, I will focus on finishing up my Ponyo Submarine and the Lupin III Fiat... 500ish.

I'm not quite sure how to present my final entries though... all together as one? Separately? What about the Totoro truck and the Fiat... do they count too somehow?
Thanks!

As one of the prospective mod's (for the next GB), I'd say individually. That way each gets its own chance at glory. ;)

Ah, but if one was focussed on winning they one could worry that individual entries could split the votes whereas a group entry would combine them in one place.

There's so many great builds in this GB, I'm not exactly worried about winning.  Heck neither of my last two GB entries garnered even a single vote!

Besides, tonight I almost committed 2nd degree model-cide... So at this point I'm just hoping we all survive!
Thanks!

A valid point well made. Decisions! Decisions! :-\

Luckily, it's not me who has to make it! ;D

Ever had one of those days when you're sitting in the middle of a pile of stuff stacked up everywhere and you don't know what to do because every time you decide to start working on "z" you realize you need to do "y" first... but when you track down "y", you suddenly remember that you forgot to do "x"... but by the time you figured that out, you've already put glue on "w" and now you don't know where to put it because you can't find your tweezers?

And then, once you've got everything sorted out from "s" through "z", you find out you can't check your reference material for the paint mix ratio because you left the "i" (pad) in the bedroom and now your wife is taking a shower and locked the door...

So then you just throw up your hands and say "f" it, and go watch "t" and "v"?

:)
Thanks!

I know JUST what you mean, sometimes the enormity of a job just overwhelms you and you say 'The hell with it...'

My late Dad had a Citroen GS that need the engine taken out to adjust the handbrake! I only ever did it once for him...........
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The real Captain Fat Hamster has a Renault which requires the front end to be dismantled to replace the headlamp globes.

...and start a new build.   ;D
