They couldn't find the big one then?  ;D ;)

No, that'll be the Koneig Landcruiser  ;)

From the Nuremberg toy fare. A bit scary...

Scary? Ordering one direct from the factory is the scary bit. Beats the Squadron Hanubau II as the most expencive 72nd scale Injection kit ive ever shelled out for.................................................................so far.

Go on then, how much?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

We need a Ratte group build for Telford this year.  It just has to be done.

We'd need an extra table as they're so huge, and it better be a strong one too!  :o

So, who is going to be motorising and putting RC control into theirs?

Who needs RC, you could get inside and drive it yourself!  :o

I did that with a 1/16th Tamiya Tiger I umpteen years ago, and that was with late 60s size Rx and servos. It should be a doddle doing it with today's RC stuff.

No way kit. Your legs wouldn't stand a chance of getting in  ;)

Well, yeah, you're probably right in my case.  ;D

But I'm sure some of our more 'altitude challenged' members could fit in one.   ;)

Steel Penguin

if the cost projections ive just seen on a quick google are correct,

Less than I paid for my 1:48 B-52   or either of my 22" Eagle kits,  and less than a couple of the new Takom Chieftains in 1:35

if it was my thing, ( which it isn't ) the figures would have been looked at seriously in comparison to time / fun.

But I know Martin likes 1:72 Armour, and hes done a cracking job on the stuff that he shows on the show table
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

So now that you have 1/72 main gun turrets, who's going to build a 1/72 battleship ------
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Steel Penguin

yup Kit 1:72, its a paper project and a quick wiki gets rough measurements of 35M long hull, 14M wide hull 11M high.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landkreuzer_P._1000_Ratte

so even at that scale its not far off half a meter long,
