I am just in love with this ship   It looks so sleek and so in keeping with the whole Nubian aesthetic. I keep looking at my KC-135 wings and think to myself "I could do that to you too".....
I won't deny I have thought about asking for copies of that body and canopy
I really can't wait to see this under paint

Hey you definitely should!  PM me your address and I'd be happy to send you some copies after the group builds over (and I can actually get a good pull of the top).

Yeah, neither can I!  I'm still struggling to come up with a paint scheme.  I don't want to do the traditional silver/chrome.  I want something civilian looking with some color.

It's begging for a shiny colourful "car style" paint job.  Maybe metallics?  Maybe a fade?  Flames might be over the top.
I'd like to see it as if Gene Winfield had painted it.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Apparently you guys have a more extreme view about a color than me  :o  Sorry to disappoint but it may not be that blinged out.  I was thinking maybe a rusty red like the Consular-class cruiser in Star Wars Episode 1.  Still undecided.

In the mean time I got the landing gear completed.

I finally finished!  And none too soon as the deadline is just hours away.  I'm pretty pleased with how this one turned out, as always I wished for more but in the end I've determined I need to keep building up my skills.

There were a lot of firsts for me on this build, first time I used a 3D print for a mold, first clear vac-form piece I've used in a model, first time using a black base and first time using chipping fluid.  The 3D print and the vac-form clear piece were both successes.  The black base I'm torn on and the chipping fluid did not work at all as I expected.  Live and learn.

Bit of background:

The Type 320 Courier was developed to fill the Naboo need for a light diplomatic transport.  These ships would be used to shuttle around less important Naboo dignitaries while still providing some of the grandeur that Naboo ships are know for. The Type 320 development went smoothly and the first flight came 18 months after the design was finalized.  24 examples where built and they served admirably in service of the Naboo government.  After the Empire rose to prominence the Type 320's were sold off or scraped.  This example was bought by a smuggler Roy Goran.  Later it was adopted by the Rebellion where it lost it's natural metal finish and was painted as depicted here.  The ship was never armed but it's low profile made it inherently difficult for sensors to detect.  The where abouts of this ship are currently unknown.

Oh YES! That looks truly magnificent, superb modelling.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

That last pic.  I'm drooling.

Star Wars I was on the idiots lantern last night (i'd forgotten how bad most of it is) and this puts what was actually in the movie to shame.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

loupgarou

Really beautiful and sleek! And the chipping came out well too (if it's chipping and not a paint job you did).
