Who'da thunk it? The answer to all of mankind's energy and transportation needs - googly eyes!  :drink:

The weapons look really cool. Excellent use of PE grating, there!
Cheers,

Thanks, mate!

Yup, googly eyes. I think it works 'coz the Earth rejects them. ;D

Oh! Oh! Since it's gonna be a hover vehicle, make sure to find a "^ This Side Up ^" stencil - and apply it upside down!
Grunt humour or something like that .

After a fairly good start I'm having the mojo for this build drained by what are, essentially, minor modifications. :-\

The problem is that although they're minor, they're also intricate & time consuming, which was the one thing I was trying to avoid with this build. :(

Bugger! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Still, I have a bit of time up my sleeve, so I may put it aside for a little while & dig out a tank or something that I know I want to build pretty much OoB & only whif the paint scheme. <_<

Yes, intricate and time consuming sucks.  :banghead:

I think the trick is to look at each small part as if it was a separate kit, then you feel great having finished it, and can move on to the next one.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

OK. Officially weird! :o

I walked into the shed this evening to look over my stash for something different to build. Couldn't decide so walked out again. Sat down in front of this & started building again with no issues.

Only change was that I figured out what I needed for an ammo feed for a micro-missile launching system while I was pruning a couple of fruit trees & went out bought a cat collar from Cheap As Chips (local cheapo store) this arvo.

It's amazing how often that happens. Walk away and do something completely unrelated and....bingo

I actually think it was the ammo feed thing that has been sub-conciously bugging me & whispering "It's all pointless if you can't figure this out" in my mental ear.

No, the cat collar doesn't have any bling on it, although it does have paw prints printed on it. It's a webbing collar &, once painted up, should look the part.

Too long between photo updates (or any updates, really), so here are some images of where I'm at right now:

The sensor unit at the rear of the turret doesn't move because, when I put it on, the missile launchers on the turret sides weren't going to, either.

The missile launchers are 6-shot auto-reloading anti-personnel/light vehicle micro-missile launchers & 2-missile anti-aircraft mini-missile launchers (they don't have the missiles fitted, yet).

The commander needs some work done on him still, including being painted & having a visor fitted (& the stick removed) before he'll be ready for placement.

Thanks for paying attention!

I think I might be slightly disappointed that you have painted over the googly eyes...
:o

Otherwise.

I know what you mean. :(

It was actually difficult to do that, they amused me. ;D

I may have to compensate for their loss somehow.
