I was on the Gov website and you need five people and e-mails to start a petition...anyone interested in getting one going to get rid of this idiotic law concerning swastikas on model boxes, decal sheets etc etc.

I wouldn't mind but you'll fail to acheive your goal;

a) because you'll never get the anti-Nazi laws repealed in Germany (including prohibitions against iconography), so any German company or any company that wishes to sell its product in Germany will ignore the request, &

b) the moment anyone puts a swastika on a box there'll be a much quicker & more aggressive anti-swastika reaction with much greater support that you'll be able to get to support putting them back on the boxes, etc.


It's not logical, it's emotional.

Me? I wouldn't cry if they removed the red star from everything it was on because, to me, it stands for a bigger bunch of b@$&@^d$ than the Nazi's (as big, at least).

However, I'm fairly logical: They existed, why try to hide it?

Is there such a law in the UK?

I know there is in Germany but IIRC that's not true on the UK, and it's not EU wide. It's just that the manufacturers don't show swastikas on their box art or they'd have to have different boxes for each country, hardly economic.
