Yeah, tanks. Looks too early for wing-tip missile rails.

its crashed in the pic, but its the nose that says it to me.

Hmmmm.  I have seen the picture before in a book of sci fi pics loosely tied together with a narrative that a friend had years ago.  Maybe it wormed its way into my head.
I was pondering a T Tail today as well but took the easy way out.
I also have a vague memory of something similar but more dieselpunky with corrugated exhaust hoses.  And in landscape format.

It's amazing how just putting that spinner onto a Bf 109 changes the look.  Maybe i'll do something similar on the long winged AZ kit.  Contra prop maybe.

DFZ & Womby - You may be right.  The wings are actually slightly forward swept which would point missiles inwards.  Not enough to affect their use but I suspect the eye would pick it up and the brain would think it was wrong.  As it's Sci Fi though, I reject any arguments based on when munitions were developed in OTL. ;D
After all, the back story will put it in world of the anime My Sky the Free Wind (Studio zenrat - release date TBA) along with this.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

;D  My opinion is just based on looks, and i'm a wingtip missile fan but on straight wings, i prefer tanks, P-80 like.

I also think tanks are the best choice

Every time I see this picture (& I've seen it many times over the years) I keep asking myself "Why is that pilot making the big pussy-cat thing angry by shooting at it?"

I'm thinking why doesn't the front seater get a canopy or even a windscreen?

I know I said no more pics until primer, but here's one anyway.

Bi-ig wings & tail-plane, teeny little rudder. ;)

The lady's not for turning... ;)

The wings are actually slightly less in span than the stock Bf 109G.  The stabs are bigger though.
I'm glad I went for the tanks.

Keen eyed viewers will notice that the spinner I have glued on isn't the one I had on in the earlier pic.  This is because I had drilled 6 accurate holes in that one for blades and this one is going to be smoothed over and in (it's already full of filler, drying as I type).

Maybe not now with the tanks on, but yes.  I have tricked you with perspective and camera angle.
