I love the build so I am not being picky or anything. Can you help me out with the technical details. So the engine is still in the front - yes? And the radiators are in the air intake in the wing roots. Is that the concept?

Thanks Bernie

No Bernie, it's now a twin jet long range bomber escort.  The pilot sits between the engines which are in the wing roots.
The nose now contains radar and other electronical gubbins and maybe some more guns (although that might disfigure her svelte profile.

Second round of PSR commenced today with the P.

It looks a bit like Version 1 of a Banshee.  ;D

She's a fair bit smaller than a Banshee.
But there is a similarity.

Second round of S today followed by a squirt of primer showed no need to R.
I have decided to leave that shapely nose as it is and not put any guns into it.
If I do add more guns they'll be in a ventral pack.
Now, to missile or not to missile?
I have 4 hard points for each wing and a wide range of Soviet and Japanese Air to Air missiles to hang from them.
But then she also looks good clean.
I may paint her first and see how I feel when she's in gleaming technicolour.
Speaking of paint.  I'm going for a standard yellow nose Bf 109 scheme but with a twist.

Aw beauty Fred

I did a similar build with the Me 262 HG3. Jumos in the wing roots. Wings at 18 degrees for higher speed. Pushed the undercart out to provide a more stable platform for landing.

I am gonna have to put this Me109 on my build list. This is a great concept.

Thanks for the guidance.

Glad you like her Bernie.
The wings had been burning a hole in my parts box since I sliced up the Dragonfly to build the Myasischev.  I could see they had great promise but had to find the right fuselage.

I hit the underside and nose with white undercoat today.  Forgot the tail though.  I'll have to do that tomorrow.
I also found the decals I want to use in the decal folder and a colour scheme to base mine on on the interweb.
Its one with splinter pattern wings but mottled fuselage sides so i'll have to use the hairbrush on it which is something I don't often do in this scale.

Me too.  Do you think if I ignore it it'll finish itself?

;D

That will surely make it loose and shiny... ;D

That's been my approach of late.  ;D   Doesn't seem to work but sure makes building a breeze!

Got some colour on her today.

The scheme I am using has RLM 65 (light blue) underside but what Vallejo sell as this colour looks too dark compared to references.
It looks like this.

Think i'll be adding some white.

Underside is blue.  Adding the same amount again of white to the Vallejo RLM 65 has brought it close to what other paint manufacturers sell.
