Only a little bit...

;D

Gloss clear over the decals yesterday before heading off out to Mrs zs brother's place for the AFL Grand Final and then painted the wheel wells, intakes and exhausts and pin washed the panel lines today.
As designated driver I didn't drink alcohol yesterday but did knock back a litre of Fanta along with many handfuls of m&ms, slices of pavlova, assorted cakes and many chocolates.
I've never had a sugar hangover before.  I don't think I like it.

Then the easy, nay only, answer is to keep eating chocolate... ;D

Wouldn't work for me, sugar hangovers are pretty hard on my intestines... :o ;D

Pilot installed today (in his silver, 50's style high altitude flight suit) and canopy attached.
Started painting the fiddly bits.

Messerschultz Me 109-Q7 Libelle
Messerschultz Me 109-Q7 Libelle 11 by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr
When the great air fleets of the Mediterrorean free anarchies required long range fighter escorts to protect them on their drive to project revenge, retribution, justice and freedom into the heart of the Polish Mechtocratic Empiricum they did as their fathers and their forefather before them had done and turned to mercenary skyclans.
Messerschultz Me 109-Q7 Libelle 6 by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr
Driven from their homeland by the Empiricum during the Purgeric Expulsions of the Spring of Blades the proud warriors of the Himelreitter Fliegende Teufel welcomed with open arms the chance to strike back against those who had driven them to the very edges of what had once been the Holy German Empire.
Messerschultz Me 109-Q7 Libelle 8 by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr
The chosen mount of the HFT was the Messerschultz Me 109-Q7 Libelle (Dragonfly).  Designed and built in the great floating megopolis of Tanganyikatown the Libelle was powered by a pair of PanAf Jumbo 004 engines mounted either side of the pilot.  Armament consisted of two Vektor SS-34 20mm motorkanone mounted in front of the cockpit (fed from large capacity ammunition bins directly beneath them) and four hardpoints under each wing suitable for air to air missiles or rockets.

The Q7 carried a GEMA Luftabhören Funkverstärkungserkennung MkXXIII under its streamlined cellulose nose.  This microwave radar was crude by modern standards but was the first of its kind to be built small enough for a single seat fighter and gave the aircraft of the Free Anarchies a decisive advantage in the Far West Asian skies.

The pictured aircraft was photographed at Dadswell Bridge Aerodrome during the filming of  Studio zenrat's live action blockbuster version of My Sky the Free Winds starring Scarlett Johansson and Dave Dunnebier (at an iMax near you in 3D from next Tuesday).

HELL yeah, brotha!!! I love this one!! So cool. And, always neat to see a jet -not- on tricycle gear.

Thanks blokes.
While I was building it I was thinking "this is going to look odd tail dragging, I should trike it".  But now I think it looks OK.
The thing in the circle on the tail is an iron cross BTW not a swastika.

I think it looks great... the uhh... length of the main gear helps... if they were longer, the nose would sit higher and at some point it would start to "not look right."  Being as they are, it sits well.

NARSES2

That's nice mate

She looks fast just sitting there.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Cracking job there, looks like an A-37 in Luftwaffe service.  ;D

Very good indeed!
I like it's stance with the landing gear like that, like Chris said, looks fast just sitting there and, like Brad said, the height of the gear is just right. And also, i think it would look weird with tricycle layout cause there would be more than half of the fuselage behind the main gear.
The story is also very good, great work as always!

It ame put very pretty. I also appreciated the german halftrack as bowser in RAF colours.

EDIT: Sorry for a few typing errors: it was meant to say: It came out very pretty.   :banghead:
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Ha, I hadn't noticed that until you pointed it out. Magic stuff, that's a Whiff in its own right.   ;D

I do love the way you have completed the jet engine exhaust area.  The wider undercart will also add delightfully to landing and take-off stability. Bl!@#dy excellent job. Have added to my to-do list in 48.
